JFK increased minimum wage, increased social security, expanded foodstamps, and expanded fedral funding to education among other stuff... all things that a left wing guy would do. He did cut corporate taxes... from 52% to 47%... hardly a move that would be considered far right by today's standards when corp tax rate is 20%. Mind you, he did all this stuff mostly becuase the US was in recession.

He did want a balanced budget, but certaily didn't limit govt spending, especially considerng all the space race spending. Every single US president since the start of the cold war to today was/is anti-communist. I didn't know he was a member of the NRA; that's interesting fact, but hardly something that would make him right wing, considering everything else.

I never thought it was inconceivable that Trump could win. There are lots of people that have been left behind by the American Dream. That does not exist anymore.

I watched an interview with Bernie Sanders. He said that he grew up in rent controlled housing in NYC and his brother went to NYC Uni for free and got his 4 year.

That doesn't exist now. The gov't should be helping us. That is what they should be doing.

I don't have health insurance. I had a medical emergency 3 months ago. I choked on chicken. It would not wash down.

My bill, after the ER and a ride to another hospital, then the procedure, was $14K. They told me to apply for Medicaid. I did.

My bill got paid for. The hospital has a deal with Medicaid that they will write off the balance.

Am I a moocher? I asked for it once. A hand to help me out.

She knows that the DOJ, controlled by the Trump Admin, can give her life hell.

I don't think there is dirt. I think she knows MAGA will not further her political agenda.

Eh. I can't help but think she is not very principled, but just has a grasp on where the wind blows. When Trump is in power, it's all about Democrats using weather altering machines and shit like that because it caters to his base. She probably knows that shit won't fly when Trump is gone so she needs a different angle. I'm starting to think she is not as crazy as she seems, but she tries to jump on whatever works at the moment. Pretty much the opposite of principled.

Like I said, every US president since Truman has been anti-communist, its basically a requirement and does not set him apart from anyone else today.

Abortion wasn't a major political issue back then. If JFK existed today, he would probably be pro-choice imo. But seeing as he didn't push any major policies regarding abortion , it clearly was not an important issue to him one way or another. If you go by the policies he actually did push through he obviously was a social democrat... easily more left than Obama or Biden, as were many Republicans of that time during like Nixon.
