Mousasi calling out 47 year old Anderson for a boxing fight is weak

they are very close in a fight age and it's not like it's gonna be a fight to the death, more of a hard friendly exhibition. i don't see the issue here.

It will be pro wrestling boxing like his last one with Tito, with someone taking a dive if it ever happened. No one gets hurt and they have a good laugh at the marks that watch that BS that think it's real.

Source for what ? All of those things are what happened (UFC wasn't interested in a signficant pay raise + had killed sponsorship money with the reebok deal, he had beaten 5 straight ranked fights 4 of which by finish, and UFC told him he wouldn't be getting a title shot because Bisping wanted to wait 8-9 more months for a money fight with GSP).
Wow. Makes you wonder why people even like him. Must be because he put Rockhold away.

Anyone else feels this way?

Anderson is hilariously past his prime, and has been for so many years now. The man has a steel leg, impaired movement, and a very deteriorated chin and speed... he can still win boxing fights thanks to his technical prowess and against slow plodding part time fighters like Chavez Jr. but shouldn't be sanctioned to fight someone like Gegard.

Mousasi is 10 years younger and should be focusing on getting his ass back to the UFC and fighting for the title IMO. He can still do it and has some years left to compete at the highest level.

Weak stuff.

That's old man still beats 99.9999% of people living today

Seriously? 36 years old vs 46 years old is a huge gap in fighting unless the younger fighter is very mediocre. Anderson's chin has been gone for many years now, he is in no condition to be fighting these younger guys.

Mousasi is still a top level MMA fighter. Pointless, one-sided matchup.
silva is coming off a win in boxing, beat a high level boxer that would take out most everyone in mma

silva still got hands

Gegard told Dana to go fuck himself on a five fight win streak. He has zero interest in going back to the circus.

As for Anderson, he wants to fight the best and has shown he's still boxing at a high level. It's silly for anyone to be offended by someone respectfully saying they want to fight him.

Gegard bless.

Moose has the quickest jab (Jorge #2) I've ever seen in mma. Would be a good matchup imo

It's a legit callout. Silva just beat Chavez Jr and the two have clear MMA connections that make it even better. Mousasi has boxed at high levels before and won. Great fight, would definitely watch.

Jake Paul would KO Silva if that fight was sanctionable. No one would sanction this fight today. Paul is knocking out younger more recent mma fighters than Silva with great regularity

Jake Paul has been knocking out washed MMA fighters that have been much smaller than him, and fight 2-3 weight classes lower typically. There's a reason why Jake hasn't called Anderson out yet, he knows he doesn't want that fight. Even at nearly 50 years old, Anderson wins that fight by stoppage within 3, and makes it look easy.

??? He ran through everyone on his final 8 fight deal. Only fighter in UFC history to leave on his terms after stopping 5 in a row ( while still actively fighting).

Are u talking about the 2-2 start ? ( lol- u know how many eventual ufc champions start off at 2-2 before going on their title run ?)

Ahh- only on sherdog.
GSP left on his terms after winning 12 in a row then came back on his own terms to extend it to 13 and left again as the lineal WW and MW champion.

It's called grabing the bag , no not liberally.

AS is still a semi elite boxer. It's not a weak call out if Mousasi is anything less than an elite boxer he'll lose. AS is the best boxer on the MMA/celebrity fighter circuit.

"Getting his ass back to the UFC"

He didn't get cut. He LEFT.

Anderso already fought and beat a younger former world boxing champ. How is this weak, when Mousasi isn't even a boxer?

I think the last place Mousasi is going is UFC lol, not a chance.

Mousasi isn’t the same fighter that he used to be either. I’d be down with Anderson vs Moose boxing match

This whole Mousasi belongs in the UFC with a title shot nonsense is ridiculous. Yes the call out of anderson is weak. No, Mousasi is not one of the best MW in the world anymore.

Mousasi likes fighting WWs and old men. No surprise there. At one time Mousasi said he was interested in boxing Jake Paul...not sure what happened with that. Probably the same excuse he used for not fighting in the Bellator LHW tournament, whatever that was.
