Mousasi calling out 47 year old Anderson for a boxing fight is weak

There's 10 years difference in their ages. It's not even close. Mousasi is slightly past his prime. Anderson is WAY past his.

Moose is young for the amount of mma mileage he’s gone through. I hear what you’re saying but I wouldn’t have issue with them boxing.

Gegard is still in his mid 30s and is probably still competitive with the top 10 in MMA. Boxing or no boxing he has a pretty big advantage

Its a fun fight a lot of MMA fans would tune in for and they both would make good money, who cares if it's "weak"?

it would be a good boxing scrap tbh. even with 50 yo andy

Anderson is a better pure boxer but it's still shady because he's too old now.

Mousasi calling out a big name for a big pay day... can't hate him for that.

But he's not a big name at all, and I don't see what Anderson can benefit from boxing a relative unknown at this point.

Mousasi is 10 years younger and should be focusing on getting his ass back to the UFC and fighting for the title IMO.
He left the UFC because he got a better offer. he wasn't cut

GSP left on his terms after winning 12 in a row then came back on his own terms to extend it to 13 and left again as the lineal WW and MW champion.
I said besides retirement ( or my words " actively fighting ").
Big diff .

.... and - I'm so misunderstood when gsp at the hand of convo.... which shouldnt be here of all places . I've always acknowledged gsp on first tier goat list but because I, personally, dont have him at #1 - I get accused of hating on gsp.
I think a good % of his fans actually have a man crush on pierre ----- thst might even be adorable but I dont have time for that shit in a true alpha / brutal sport.

Gsp beat " bisping " as a - 165 favorite four years off the shelf as a 170er fight9ng for middle title. A fight he didnt deserve and the water held in this calculated accomplishment rings transparent and weak. Forget lineal verbiage thst carries- such reverence behind it ...lol, people understand this. He didnt want to fight anyone ANYONE but Bisping and thsts exactly what he did( before & after ?????????? ).

Gsp was " a " goat before the circus he helped bring to town. I'm being as fair as I can be. Dana White himself was a very frustrated promoter once Mike got hands on title.

So Gegard remains in the rarified air I mentioned all by himself. Although I'll repeat, he should be talking about all this boxing stuff after he hopefully makes a defense of his title as hes fighting an undefeated wrestling based hungry opponent who has ATT putting him in the best possible position to attain mild upset ( -220/ +180).
He overlooks this guy and itll be a long night .

Nah its not weak. Anderson and Gegard are equally as legendary in combat sports. Been around forever. Let em box.

I think you guys get caught up in the "do you wanna be a fucking fighter?" Clout and belt chasing shit on this site. I come from a fighting family, and alot of them are just trying to make a living, and they only know how to do what they can do. I have a family member who fought in the early ufcs. Fought pat militech 3 times when pat was champ. The UFC tried to recruit him back a decade later, offered 3k to win or lose. The Gracie's had an org at the time and offered him like 100k. He'd have been stupid to go to the UFC. When you got kids and a family and a mortgage and shit and your paychecks are always hinging on wins and losses, you make the best decision directly in front of you.

Moose has gotta get through Mr. PVZ b4 he can think about calling out ufc legends

lol people like to paint Anderson as this feeble defenseless old man only when its convenient for them.

omg anderson's old and decrepit thats why he cant win,he should hang em up

:: as soon as he wins again outside USADA's jurisdiction ::

See i fuckin said all along he was the goat omfg

Anyone else feels this way?

Anderson is hilariously past his prime, and has been for so many years now. The man has a steel leg, impaired movement, and a very deteriorated chin and speed... he can still win boxing fights thanks to his technical prowess and against slow plodding part time fighters like Chavez Jr. but shouldn't be sanctioned to fight someone like Gegard.

Mousasi is 10 years younger and should be focusing on getting his ass back to the UFC and fighting for the title IMO. He can still do it and has some years left to compete at the highest level.

Weak stuff.

War Spider!

Anderson did fine againt Izzy, and I think you'd very surprised especially in a boxing match.

If they box now, it wouldn't tell us anything about a fight between them prime vs. prime would be, in boxing or MMA. Also, while Mousasi has had a lot of fights, only a small percentage have been against Top 10 guys in his weight class who weren't over the hill. Almost everyone he fought in the first half of his career were no-names (and a few old guys). Contrast that with Anderson. Even after losing his belt at age 38 he's fought Bisping, Cormier, Brunson, Israel, Cannonier and Hall (who beat Mousasi once). I'm quite sure he has more mileage due to fighting more high level guys. I don't think Mousasi took much damage early in his career against the likes of Chico Martinez, Stefan Klever and Andre Fyeet (all quick 1st round wins--there were many others like that).

The George Carlin-Chris Brennan family connection...who'd of thunk it?

Lol at brunson, hall and bisping
Hall beat Anderson too.
Mousasi was whooping his ass and did whoop his ass in the second fight
Just admit your a mousasi hater and a UFC dick riding horse sucking pillow fist double chin lard cake eating pussy whooped doggy style couch watcher that don't know shit about MMA

Let Silva do the retirement tour. He can fight guys like Roy Jones or whatever. There is no money in Moose and him.

He wants to get paid. Why hate him for that? He's lucky he's able to box. Uncle Dana would never let him do that if he were still in the UFC.
