Typical diaz. Gets beaten on all scorecards 45-50, doesn t do shit the whole fight except showboat, then leaves the cage swearing in ebonics.and their fans love it.

The 45-50 scorecard was bullshit though. also Diaz clearly had a problem with his elbow in that fight (not making excuses for him he probably over trained. just unfortunate he didn't come into the fight one hundred percent)

and yes Rockhold vs Costa was crazy

Skills wise, Diaz brothers are two of the most overrated fighters ever. Drugs have completely destroyed their brains, but they somehow remain extremely popular, which makes them marketable.
This is a dumb statement. They have both fought for UFC titles, and Nick was a Strikeforce champion. They both have very notable wins. But they are two of the most overrated fighters ever? Do you know what overrated means? If you do, then you just don't understand the sport.

weird i thought the official scorecard ended up being NC

A quarter of Americans use illicit drugs. The majority of those are dependent.

They know they are ruining their brains. They can tell.

So they search out and support famous people who condone their bad decisions.

IMO, that is how the Diaz brothers "somehow remain extremely popular."

That, and Nate slapping and then crossing several world-class fighters into Bolivia.

Like literally risking a counter to literally slap the guy, and flowing a cross because hey, y' nevah know...

I mostly feel bad for Nate, but sometimes I just love him.
"Brutha, do you not see my homies standing right over there?"

Oh, and Nick blowing a big gob of kung fu out of his nostril after Condit matrixed it up in there with a quad combo.

See? !

Now I'm doing it!

This post is supposed to be a criticism of drug abuse, and instead it turned into a grudging acknowledgment of two imperfect people who, for an impressive period of time, would fight anyone at the drop of a hat.

God bless the Diaz brothers.
Damned stoners.

In their prime, the Diaz bros were an odd combination of pretty good boxing (for MMA standards), insane cardio and punching volume for up to 5 rounds, extreme toughness and very dangerous BJJ.....coupled with poor wrestling/TDD, being weak physically compared to opponents and refusing to check or defend against leg kicks.

If Nick stuck around after the Condit fight and strung together a few wins, I think it's possible he could've fought Lawler when he held he belt and had a decent chance of winning. It could go either way, but Robbie wouldn't wrestle Nick or do Condit's "evade and leg kick" strategy. And Robbie didn't have the striking output that Nick did...he just hung in there until he could hopefully put you away.

Nick was never going to beat GSP, though, and Hendricks could beat him if he mixed in enough wrestling.

Yeah neither were ever the best in the world. But to say that they are two of the most overrated fighters ever is ridiculous. Their boxing and ability to weaponize cardio was a bit ahead of most fighters from their era. Nick vs Robbie during Robbie's title reign would have been aweesome!

Actually probably the same thing (involuntary shitting)

A 70-something guy, according to those court transcripts... seems more likely he accidentally shit himself while in a random sexual position than it was some spontaneous and elaborate extreme S&M escalation randomly inserted into the middle of normal sex.

Different fat guy brother. Unless your use of "teh" is an elaborate form of mocking someone else who said the same thing?
Idk if spontaneously taking a dump on someone’s head is very elaborate, but I hope to never find out
<{you!}>

Wasnt that Teila Tuli who lost the tooth

That's racist against sumo.

Teila tuli is not Emmanuel Yarborough.

Nah that was the other sumo guy that got his tooth kicked out...the Hawaiian sir.

Teila Tuli

I remember that happening in Gerard Gordeau Vs Tela Tuli.

You are talking the past so no, my statement is not dumb. It is really your statement that is dumb. You are admitting they are cashing on their glory from the days of yore. I am talking present time where they are completely overrated because I have watched their last few fights and they are completely wasted. Did you watch his fight with Ferguson Both of them are in the same boat. It is like Tony Ferguson who used to be an amazing fighter and I was a huge fan. He does not command that huge payday that the Diaz brothers could without actually looking like an elite level MMA fighter, but yeah they can choke out a person on the street and let that person drop his head into the concrete because of how wasted their brains are.

Very true. It was interesting how they matched up with different fighters. In his prime, Cerrone had a good jab and Muay Thai, but Nate overwhelmed him with volume. Cerrone managed to land a lot of leg kicks but not enough to slow Nate down. Nate also managed to beat Michael Johnson when he was on a tear. MJ beat both Tony Ferguson and Poirier and on paper had faster hands and possibly better boxing....but Nate boxed him up. However, Nate didn't match up well with Bendo and got LnP'd to a decision loss by Clay Guida.

The most lopsided scorecard and the least amount of damage to the loser. Starnes ran a marathon that fight

You'll be surprised to know this actually isn't the most lopsided scorecard of all time!
There was an assbeating so thorough without a finish that it scored 50-42 50-42 and 50-43. Another fact is that the fighter who had their ass beat was the favorite coming in!
Which fight was it?
Answer:
Rich Franklin vs Dave Loiseau
