The tarriffs Trump has enacted are objectively bad for his constituents. That is the one and only point here, other than the ridiculous statement that it will take one billion dollars to firgure out why farmers face such dire circumstances.

Meh, I don’t even really buy into that. Yes there things Dems could’ve done better, or improved their messaging on, or whatever. But we already had a Trump term that was a total disaster, he left office with his approval rating in the dirt, a zillion election case losses and a bunch of injured Capitol police, and 4 years later a bunch of people convinced themselves (or got convinced by their favorite media outlets and podcasters) that Trump was actually super awesome and we needed him back.

Dems didn’t do that shit, gullible uninformed voters did that shit.

Why is it our fault that people don’t know how tariffs work, or how trade deficits work, or what DEI actually is and does, or how separation of powers work, or a million other things? Again, we can try and improve messaging, but a lot of these people won’t listen anyway, and didn’t. These people should blame themselves for being uninformed.

You could maybe blame Joe Manchin and Krampus Cinema for being too right wing when Biden had a chance to make some real changes. If they were lefties maybe he could have made some changes to education and election finance. Although that stuff takes years to play out in terms of a better educated electorate
