More impressive: Jones beating Gane or Silva beating Forrest ?

There's nothing impressive about Jones beating a striker with 0 grappling.
Silva by a lot.

People that say Khabib is the most dominant fighter ever need to go back and watch this fight. Silva moved up a weight class to fight a guy that just lost the title. Forrest may not have been a GOAT but he just finished beating Shogun and Rampage before he lost the title.

Silva moved up in weight and made the former champ look like a joke. You could tell by the look in his eyes that Forrest was hurt, scared, frustrated and embarrassed all at the same time. There was absolutely nothing he could do about it. Silva dropped the former champ 3 times in the first 3 minutes and made him run out of the ring crying. THAT is domination.

Silva vs Griffin might be the single greatest performance of all-time in MMA. It's essentially a measurement of dominance and superiority in this sport.

Silva ... crushing Forrest.

Francis outwrestled Gane, just a minute ago.

While Jones spent half a decade "gaining weight"

Jones with the pico takedown was impressive. But seeing Silva turn into Neo was something out of a video game.

Forrest was capable in any area of the fight. Gane looked completely terrible against a pure strike in Ngannou when it hit the mat.

Jones/Gane. I know most of sherdog has turned on Gane, but I still think he's easily a top 5 HW, and Jones just steamrolled him.

Anderson/Forrest was fucking spectacular though, I'll never forget that performance by Andy.
I remember like it was yesterday 90% of Sherdog was a Gane believer before Big Frank and Jones.

Gane gave the fight to Ngannou via low fight IQ. Jones would have ended either that night. Silva went in and completely dummied a high ranked LHW. All Silva on this.

Anderson's performance was insane and way more fun and memorable to watch. But in terms of the actual feat, i.e. who the opponent was, and what the stakes were, then it's definitely Jones who was more impressive.

Performance wise Anderson. That was maybe the greatest in MMA history. Comp wise it's hard to tell because forrest was LHW champ as well. Jones did amazing work though

Most people expected Anderson to beat Forrest. In retrospect it’s even less impressive. Forrest looked incredibly slow and tested positive for Xanax. There was a huge number of people that thought Gane was going to destroy Jones. He has KO power. I think JBJ’s win was more impressive, even if we’re coming up with explanations for Gane’s shitty performance. Anderson certainly wins the highlight contest out of the 2.

Only casuals thought Gane had anything for Jones

Gane had not beat a single wrestler in his entire career before fighting Jones lol

Silva was more impressive.

Forrest best Shogun and Rampage (won LHW title) back to back and was winning vs Rashad until he got caught right before fighting Silva.

jones gane by a mile. forrest was literally the easiest opponent at LHW they could have picked for him, absolutely tailor made, and he didn't even have the belt. that was a side show fight. what jones did was seriously impressive, no matter what the naysayers want to say in hindsight.
