Modern MMA absolutely sucks

The UFC's production value has always been trash. This isn't anything new. But I'm more concerned about the watered-down cards than the superficial production details.
dude every card is full of very legitimate unknown regional world elite class beaters and the multiple decisions that it produces is evident to that elite fact.

It doesn't absolutely suck, but it is no 2007.

A disco ball is actually a good idea. Retro production is pure win.

Shavkat will save us.
He will save Sanko first then us.

It sounds like they give a shit. That's a pretty normal reaction for something you used to be passionate about turning to garbage.

It hasn't changed in years though. I'm not sure why someone would suddenly get frustrated with it now if they weren't four years ago.

The level of fighters is far higher. There was a time when Fedor was considered an unbeatable monster. Nowadays he's getting wrecked by the likes of Ryan Bader in under a round. Think about how much the sport has evolved for that to happen.

That’s more to do with Fedors age than anything though

That's one of my favorite funny fights. The ref is supposed to stand over the fallen fighter when he is waving off the fight to protect them; instead, the ref pulls a 3 Stooges move and runs away from the fighter to the other side of the ring and waves the fight off.

That's not true at all. Thanks to Dana White's contender series, the ridiculous number of cards are watered down with fighters at a lower level than they've ever been. MEANWHILE, this is the least rankings have ever mattered in matchmaking. The UFC has never been this far from being a genuine fighting competition, relying on storylines and manufactured bullshit. PLUS there's the whole Power Slap / Dana assaulting his wife thing. Can you honestly not understand how the UFC has never been less attractive to a fan of martial arts?

And maybe they were frustrated four years ago. That has no relevance here.

The fighters they signed from the Contender Series when it was regional guys were from the same place they signed people from anyway. Now they're putting more international fighters on there they're probably signing higher level talent from there.

The least rankings ever mattered was when #15 or whatever it was ranked Dan Henderson got given a shot at Bisping which was 7 years ago now.

Can’t argue with that. You have a point

What, you don't enjoy Fight Nights at the Apex? It literally feels like early 2000s regional bush league shit.

I always thought they should bring back the coloured Octagon they did for UFC 200. Like at least colour the octagon in the colours of the country or state where the event is taking place, especially when doing abroad shows. Would set it apart.
