Modern MMA absolutely sucks

Don’t worry, Khamzat will be back soon to create chaos and entertainment. Also, the Abu Dhabi card is sure to rustle some jimmies.

sounds like you're offended for the UFC. and your offense doesn't negate what everyone is saying. weak cards, weak product, weak fighters as of late.

I'm pretty sure not having any clue what you are trying to say negates any offense, defense, progress or any kind of gress you feel.

Dang, someone the UFC offended for your offense might ask why are you too weak to stop subjecting yourself to something you see as so weak?

been saying for years that their product isn't as good as it once was, they peaked around 2006-2011, just way too many fighters and shit cards, it's been ages since they had a loaded card

I will always remember this as the peak of the UFC:
Two elite fighters. One a karate master, the other a muay thai best. Fighters back then had a persona and style.
Today everyone trains a generic version of MMA with no real specialty. MMA/UFC is past its prime.

Damn, this IS wild.

Why did he start walking away from his opponent in the middle of exchange? Was he that dazed by that knee from some reason?
He was being pulled by the shadow realm due to the knee, got dazed and the shadow realm took him.

We need more of this

Weird sequence. Here's a full explanation.

"Glory announcers explained on the broadcast that per the sanctioning body Groenhart didn’t break any rules by hitting Grigorian while his back was turned, because the referee did not step in to stop the action. It was a legal blow and knockout.

“When you are in the heat of the game, you just continue,” Groenhart said. “He turned away. I came after him and got him with the right hook that's all. I did nothing wrong. It was all in the fight, all in the game. Everyone says in the rules to protect yourself at all times. The referee did not come in. I came in with the right hook. He fell down, and then I saw the referee come in. I did nothing wrong.”

"Grigorian’s trainer Nicky Hemmers said on the broadcast that his fighter turned his back due to a cut — “which you never do in a fight,” he said — and he didn’t hold it against Groenhart for hitting him.

“It was not illegal,” Hemmers said. “It was not nice to do, but it was not illegal.”

Love seeing this threads since I get a chance to add more people to my ignore list.Welcome, TS!

If you don't like MMA, or the UFC, anymore, kindly fuck off. No one wants to hear you complain. Just suck it up and move on, find something more productive to do with your time instead of whining about it on an internet forum

Don't worry, once you'll grow up you can talk with the big boys

I disagree. Yeah, the gritty, just bleed factor isn't really there anymore like it used to be years ago but we get way more fights every months in return.

nah, i'll keep shitting on these bullshit cards every chance I get. if you're offended move on, or keep responding. i do not care.

I think as a sport it's progressed greatly (in terms of skill / legitimacy / mainstream appeal) but in terms of having superstar athletes in "must see fights", it's past its peak.

can you blame them though when they keep making more money every year? why up the production when mediocrity is selling like hot cakes.
It's sad that we as consumers also just accept an inferior product. MMA just felt more compelling in the past. I'm not a 100% sure this is not due to my own nostalgia but i am definitely less invested in the sport even when compared to 3-4 years ago.
