Mike Goldberg

The UFC was so much better when Mike Goldberg was a commentator. Fights just felt way more exciting. You knew you were gonna hear him screaming "It is all over!!" when a knock out happened. Anyone else miss Mike Goldberg as commentator?
GOAT commentator. I still occasionally listen to his highlight reel to feel the nostalgia; he literally had me lol on more than one occasion.

I will say, I love the fact that he pointed out a southpaw grappler attacking on the side that guys aren't used to being attacked on and Joe basically told him that was nonsense. But later down the road, maybe years later, Joe ended up using that exact argument for another southpaw grappler. It was hilarious.

He wasn’t the color commentator, Joe was. He was the play by play announcer type.
You know what play by play commentators do in other sports? They call the action. Mike was so incompetent that Rogan had to do that for him.

More like Mike GOATberg

I cannot believe they replaced him with Jon Aniks know-nothing robotic headass. He sucks the life outta fights and does the product placement without a single semblance of a segue. Dude will cut in in the middle of the action like "Toyo tires, official tire of the UFC"

The UFC decline and Goldberg being let go are directly correlated

I saw him recently when a BYB bareknuckle event popped up on YouTube. He does the commentary for them now. Really low level and the triangle ring is really wired

I liked him since I was use to hearing him. I prefer ex fighters commenting with their knowledge. They should add 2 knowledgeable people and someone funny to hear, like "Snoop Dog."

In all seriousness… I enjoyed Goldie.. probably because that’s just what the UFC was when I started watching decades ago..Goldie and Rogan got me pumped up after the gladiator intro.

If you haven’t heard Goldie’s take on his contract not being renewed after 20 years in the UFC, here you go… in a nutshell, Goldie seems like a decent dude. He talks about being bummed for all his co-workers who were let go after the WME buyout, and how after 20 years, Dana didn’t have the courtesy to say a word to him. In the interview, Goldberg doesn’t say a bad word about Dana despite this. Says a lot about his character. For those that don’t know or don’t remember, UFC 207 was Goldberg’s last event… and not a peep during the event about it being his last.

Mike Goldberg > Jon “Custody Battles” Anik

I think Anik is pretty good at his job but he seems kind of like a douchebag.. inserting himself into the Covington-Edwards drama by saying Colby said just as bad things about him, when it wasn't even comparable.. guy is a little too self-important for my liking.
