almost all of em get sponsors. but golf is an extremely expensive sport. being around the business for many years, ive seen most golfers get paid more from sponsors than any kind of prize check.

the money isnt really that important to them. im gonna guesstimate that 3 outta 4 pro golfers dont do it for the money as most of em come from a wealthy background. not taking anything away from what you said.

You aren't wrong, a lot of them earn a living as golf pros at their local course and giving lessons, being in tourneys just bolsters the image of the course and their ability to charge more for lessons. Which is true in MMA.

But ya, there are a lot of rich shits in the PGA for sure.

I was there for 3 days playing. I honestly don't know how the pro's do it. I was sweating bullets and stressed out the entire time. It was not fun. I moved tables a few times as the tables consolidated and I was just waiting to get a real pro at the table that would wipe me out.

Not quite. 30% goes to Uncle Sam right of the top so she started with $140k. Add in typical management she would be at $100k.

So still there's no way she spent $98k for one camp.

I realize gym expenses, flying in training partners etc... are expensive but not that much. Sure if she was eating all organic it adds some cost but you can't count all your food costs because if you aren't in camp you still have to eat. Might not be as expensive but it isn't that much more, especially for a 135lb woman.
