Apparently this deal is not finalised and will take up to a year to finalise?
I dont think Starfield will be exclusive if that is the case.

Ahh, I was unaware.
I honestly dont mind if its exclusive or not. I would indeed want a reason to purchase an XBOX.
From the various leaks and from what little Todd Howard has said.. it seems they're going for a more "grounded" sci-fi approach with Starfield.. akin to Interstellar.I haven’t looked into the game much but a scifi rpg is right up my ally.

I always try to admit when I’m wrong and in this case, I am pre-emptively admitting that I am probably going to be wrong about an initial position I took when Microsoft first announced that it acquired Bethesda for $7.5 billion.
well, it's more about access to legacy titles rather than loyalty to the hardware.
If Bethesda and Co go exclusive, I'll just get Fallout/Elder Scrolls/Doom on PC. I'm not going to bother getting redundant devices that do the same thing except play two or three different titles here or there.
Taking multi-platform titles with decades of fan goodwill and making them exclusive annoys me. However, Sony and Halo developing their own shit and keeping it exclusive is fine by me (ie Halo, God of War, Gears of War, Forza, Gran Turismo etc).

It seems like anytime a game developing company turns into a publishing company, and are able to generate revenue without doing anything, they suffer on the creative side.As much as I loved Skyrim and even Fallout 4 to some extent, I do feel like Bethesda has some good will to make up with the general gaming community. Im hopeful they can turn things around after the debacle that is FO76 and waste of time and resources that is Elder Scrolls Blades.
You don't think much of Skyrim?Well you're in luck then because Bethesda hasn't made anything noteworthy or good since New Vegas, and that wasn't even them.
I think this is the second time I've seen you confuse Starfield with Star Citizen.LOL at any of us living long enough to see its release.

The latter is the vaporware conjob. Starfield is Bethesda's new IP, and quite real.

The joke definitely works for TES VI.No, this was more meant to be a jab at Bethesda in jest based on how long they take between releases. I wasn’t thinking of Star Citizen this time.
Edit: on second thought I think I was too focused on the Elder Scrolls series and how long it’s been since Skyrim and how far away TES 6 is according to Bethesda. I overlooked the fact that they’ve released both Fallout 4 and 76 in the last 6 years. I guess the joke doesn’t work as well as I’d hoped.
