Microsoft acquires Zenimax Entertainment for $7.5 billion

I'd actually be just fine with that level of quality. MS just needs more good games in general they don't all have to be block buster hits. Their main problem is even their games that were at least supposed to be decent just turned out to be horrible garbage.

You have to have a balance of hits that everyone looks forward to and just in general good games that people enjoy but maybe aren't setting the world on fire. Like Days Gone for PS4 isn't some master piece in gaming but it's a good game and more than worth the $20 you can easily pick it up for.

Wtf are you rambling on about? You are clearly ignorant about the titles already available on Microsoft platforms before all the acquisitions they made just prior to E3 last year to the present.

Sea of Thieves
Ori and the Will of the Wisps
Forza motherfucking Horizon 4
Gears 5
Forza Motorsport 7
Battletoads

To name a few all just in 2 years.

Maybe that means Elder Scrolls in 2022?
I'd guess more like 2024. Supposedly the title screen they showed at E3 last year was literally all they had done and it was just concept art. They're probably going to be slaving away to have Starfield done by next year. Doubt there's enough time to make a truly next gen Elder Scrolls by 2022

Fallout 4 was strange for me. I really hated it at first. Months later i came back and put a lot of hours into it. Not better than 3 or nv but honestly it wasnt really worse either.

What upset me was Skill levels being removed for the simplified perk system

In Oblivion you could literally just keep jumping to level up acrobatics. The alchemy and potions were way better in oblivion. You could craft ridiculously strong potions.

Didnt bother me as much as the voiced character and the settlement building stuff. I think part of the reason it didnt bother me much was that the skill system was broken in fo3. Int was a god stat and you could have a 10 int within 5minutes of leaving the vault. It was so godly that there was no reason not to set int the same on every playthrough thus making it pointless.

True, Skyrims dumbed down leveling system was off putting as well i hope they don't keep this trend up for their next game.
I liked some aspects of the dumbed down leveling. The lack of class and having all skills contribute to a level up made your character grow organically rather than forcing them into using a handful of skills to progress. I didn't like the removal and/or "streamlining" of skills and attributes and i thought the new perk system was uncreative and boring for the most part.

It was also a shame that they didn't continue with animation changes like in Oblivion when you would reach a certain point in a combat skill for example and the attacks would change to reflect your more refined abilities.

Hey guys, I made it about ten pages in and I’m thoroughly enjoying the discussion. Is Xbox going to put out a baseball game on the next gen? Literally the one thing keeping me on this child-sized controller. Good exclusives but I just want to play the show lol.

Good for Microsoft. I enjoyed the Elder Scrolls, Fallout and Doom. Oh well.

God of War and Horizon 2 will still dominate whatever games they produce
