JC headgear/boxeo gloves just came in the mail!!! I had to take the laces off because they were too short for the headgear and replacing them with spare shoelace headgear I have before I take the pictures.

So far the helmet is really heavy but wearable. The ears fit me correctly unlike my FG5000. I like the extra pad at the back to prevent back head shots. Unlike the JC gloves, the headgear has softer leather so no hardness here.

The Boxeo gloves are nice and soft, ready to spar and smell different because it's goat leather. Still gotta adjust those too.

I paid almost double the mexipost price to fedex these here in a week and it was worth it.

PICTURES COMING SOON!!!

If you don't mind me asking, what made you decide to get a new JC facesaver when you just got another fg5000, and also why did you decide to sell your 16oz Winnings? Just curious, what's your current sparring setup/rotation. I was thinking about getting some custom 16oz winnings to replace my cletos, just wondering to see if the upgrade would be worth the cost. Thanks!

Hey Death, how are the Boxeo gloves? I'm seriously considering a pair.

Any extra fees from FedEx? I have heard they typically bill after delivery.

Haven't received any bills yet...

I am selling my white FG5000 because I thought white was a cool color, but didn't realize that it stains fast. I am a big fan of custom colored gear so I decided to make my own FG5000 given the opportunity at a good price. I got the JC facesaver mainly because I need another facebar headgear to wear when I travel to different gyms on vacation that isn't Winning. Also because I was curious how it would compare to other facesaver headgears.

As for boxing gloves, while I did enjoy my 16oz gloves, I was curious about other boxing gloves out there and felt like trying them out since there are many other high quality boxing gloves out there. I do want to get custom colored Winnings in the future, but I don't feel that right now. The Boxeo Will be my main sparring gloves (I spar 1-3 times a week), the Ring to Cage will be my travel gloves for sparring and drills (don't want to bring my Winnings with me and have people think I'm a pro or really rich. I've only been training for a year), JC's for class drills/pad/heavybags, and my 10oz Winnings for mittwork (My coach is Japanese and he loves Winnings so I wear these to get on his good side:D).

Winnings are expensive, but bear in mind not all gloves have the same kind of foam and materials. You definitely get what you pay for. I would get it if: you want status, better hand protection, treat your training partners better, enjoy custom colors.

The leather smells different since it's goat. The Padding is very soft and can be used to spar right off the bat. The laces that came with it are more than long enough. The screen printing appears painted on instead of sprayed on so we'll see how it holds up. Very well made, I would recommend it and they do custom work.

I love it so far, will take it for a ride when I go sparring with it tomorrow.

Looking forward to those pics, striker.

I redid the Campeon pic Juan posted earlier. I might go with these colors if they have grey, and I decide to go with Campeons.

Those are sexy, I would do pink under thumb, w/ pink laces.

Thanks! I prefer the white myself. I love this color fashion app. I can test out what color combos work best. It's not perfect but gets the job done most of the time.

Awesome, thanks for the response. I definitely know how good Winnings are, as I have a white fg5000 and blue 10 oz fight gloves, I just wanted to know your thoughts. I think these winnings will probably be my last piece of boxing gear for a long time, except for maybe a fg2900 down the road :icon_chee

Out of pure curiosity, since you already have an FG-5000, how come you want an FG-2900 too?

It's pretty bulky and it makes me fight a little differently because of its bulkiness. It's protection is very good though

Ok here is a pic of me wearing the JC Headgear. One size fits all, I usually wear Large and had to replace the laces with bigger ones (I still have to get new laces because the replacement laces are hard to tighten). It feels like it was meant for smaller head sizes, but once I have the laces a certain way, it feels good. People with size XL are pushing it and anything over that the back padding won't cover your head.

Weighs 2 lbs and the leather feels very soft unlike the gloves. There is a really tough frame which I feel the weight coming from. Will do a test run in sparring tomorrow.

so turned on right now by that grey

that's the G&E spirit!

Thanks brother! I think it's time for me to clear out some gear before I get them.

That headgear looks awesome. 2 lbs. is pretty heavy though.

It has a rebar frame, even Superman can't punch through it.

Looks great bud. The color combo (goldy w black w red) looks awesome in a live pic, thanks for sharing.

Ok after using it for two rounds of sparring I can say that I really need to tighten it properly as it moves around if someone gets you with a good one. It can sure take some hits, but the bar is small and sticks out so if you get uppercutted you take the full hit. I'm a big guy so the 2lbs weight does not bother me.

Compared to Winnings the bar is a little lower as it covers more of the mouth and a small portion of the nose. The front frame feels like metal. The bar portion sticks out and looks like a Reyes headgear (haven't tried Reyes so I dunno). Definitely WAY heavier.

Just used cheap walmart laces and they are good to go. Will try them out this upcoming Thursday for round 2.

Hi.
I must say You than Reyes and Seyer are the best constructed Mexican gloves.

Zepol. Narrower than Reyes IMO have the best design of the Mexican gloves, extremely comfortable, very soft leather and 100% natural latex padd.
Seyer. Narrower than Reyes, great quality construction, short cuff, in the begining are stiffer than all the other Mexican brands, very protective because its padd is hig compressed natural latex.
Casanova. Wide in the pocket, very protective and great support to the wrist.
JC Pacheco. Very, very nice gloves, great protection, stiff gloves in the begining, close in quality construction to Reyes and Seyer.
Morales, good gloves for hard training
Boxeo. Very Comfortable gloves all made in goat leather, well pad, a little "ugly" gloves, but very long lasting ones, Nacho Beristain have a lot of gym equipment by Boxeo.
All the Mexican boxing gear are made to last and for comfort.

Please feel free to ask.:)

Am looking for a source, address, email address for JC gear. Can you [email protected]

So how did the Boxeo gloves work out during sparring?

They are nice, soft, and mold to your hands. For heavy bags I don't know if it wasn't laced up tight enough but I had to really concentrate to avoid hurting my hand. Will have to test more thursday.
