All these articles talking about how Konami didn't let Kojima finish the game and that there was a third chapter really pisses me off. Fuck Konami

Same here, makes me wonder if that's one of the reasons, if not THE reason Kojima and Konami had a falling out, Kojima wasn't done, but they made him stop. Probably why it feels so slapped together at some parts. I still really enjoyed it, story left me somewhat satisfied, but it felt like it could have been so much better if Kojima had more time, I would have gladly waited a couple more months or even an extra year if it meant the story would be up to par with the gameplay.

I suggest buying Phantom Pain and Mad Max at the same time. Switch between them whenever one gets boring, pretentious or repetitive. They're exact opposites.

Back in the day when MGS4 came out i enjoyed it alot but now with Phantom Pain...i just cant stand the storytelling, the cutscenes and the gameplay feels generic. Wish i could refund it.

Depends where you bought from I think, I think Best Buy guarantees release day delivery. Gamestop I think you had to pay extra for release day delivery. Other than that it comes 3 days later I believe. I ordered Mass Effect 3 collectors edition from there when it came out and I think I didn't get it till like 2 or 3 days after.

This is how I felt about Witcher 3. MGS5 I felt pulled in during the first Afghanistan mission. Witcher I played for about 5 or so hours and just couldn't get into it (might try again at some point)

I beat Ground Zeroes again on hard in anticipation. It's pretty quick when you already know where Paz is. The first time I was looking around for a long time.

I'm kind of pissed that I never played Peace Walker and it is an essential link in the storyline. Yes, I had the collection on PS3 but I never got around to playing PW before I sold it.

I was like that with The Witcher 2 even though I forced myself through 2/3 of that game. I was able to get into The Witcher 3 right away though. Witcher games can be boring though so I can see why they can be hard to get into for some people. So much talking and in Witcher 2, reading.

SOL, cuz I didn't expect there to be a second "rig" or platform or whatever that thing was before they said what it really was (which was another surprise), so I thought the game was more limited in size due to the prequel. I also thought Snake wouldn't be in the game because of the Raiden intro. The Vamp 2nd encounter and how it was put out was a surprise, as well. Basically a lot of cool stuff that I didn't see coming. 3 & 4 were amazing, though, so it's not like one of 'em is leaps and bounds better than the others.

Side note: Phantom Pain got 10's from both Gamespot & IGN.

I didn't mind the talking in Witcher 3, the gameplay just didn't feel too smooth to me. The movement felt kind of weird, I guess there weren't enough fights I got into to get a better hang of it. Game is beautiful and I feel like I probably should like it, but at around5 hours it just didn't pull me in.

Might be one of those cases where I'm kind of 'meh' about it until a certain point and then end up loving it. Kind of like Mass Effect 1. Getting lost in the Citadel for like an hour definitely was steering me away from the game but an hour or so later I realized "damn this shit is awesome!!11!1111!!"

Currently sitting at a 96 on metacritic, fuck man the wait is getting worse. I haven't been this excited for a game since God of War 3.

I expect to be watching the trailers a few times in the upcoming week.

It's doubtful that MGS1 will be remade because it's first remake, Twin Snakes on GC, was a flop.

Why do some side-ops show up as new even though ytou've already done it? Side-ops 12 for me is still shwoing up as new even though I extracted the prisoner. I did it again and extracted the prisoner (they might have died though I don't remember if they died or some random person I fultoned). I went in a third time and now there's no prisoner but it's still showing up as new

Only downside..my PS3 cant download updates or access the PSN store for some reason, so I'm not sure if my MGS 1 voucher will work for me

MGS1 doesn't look great but once you get into the story you tend to forget all about it. It actually looks better on a ps1 emulator, because you can clean it up a bit.

But companies remake EVERYTHING and will keep doing so into infinity so I wouldn't be surprised if we get it some day. I just might not be a young man anymore when they decide too. God knows Resident Evil fans got old waiting for RE2.

I always try to let everyone live when I play a MGS game...so I can be a good guy.

But then again in MGS5 I've kidnapped the entire Russian army basically. Does that make me a bad dude?
