Why did you even waste time posting this? Sherdog really at an all time low, Christ.

Just calling out the low effort troll and using the phrase entirely wrong gave me a good chuckle. Might make others do the same. Sorry you're in your feelings about it.

can't say that I like both of them but hope Sean wins this.
Merab is a good fighter who is able to win his fights but he so boring at the same time.
if Sean wins, we have a chance to see him vs Umar which sounds much more interesting to me

Not a lot of really enticing options so I'm fine with this.

I'm curious how this fight will look. It might be slightly different now that Sean has had hip surgery or whatever.

Guys, it's clear that Sean is out to grab the last big fight bag before trying influencing full time

The lower weight divisions produce a significant turnover rate, especially in the top 5 sense. Once you're there, you hope you can become world champion and then, its "good luck staying there" O'Malley can't possibly believe 110% that he can win the rematch, in fact im guessing nowhere close so he's getting it in while the getting is still good.

No more, no less

Sean has one fan in the world and its Dana.

The UFC are desperate to have some American (to a lesser extent other English speaking peoples and in general "big personality") fighters near the top. Hence BS title shots, paper champs, BMF belts etc just hoping some shit will stick. The internationalization of the sport has really caused damage in terms of the UFC having lots of marketable elite stars for their main market. Boxing honestly has more these days.

I would have rather seen Yan or even Pantoja get the next shot at Merab but whatever, we've known Sean was going to get a rematch basically since he lost the belt.

Why not I guess, but it won't look any different to the first meeting. Merab by lopsided decision.

UFC is desperate to get a popular champion. Too bad, Merab is going to maul him worse then the first fight.
I don't think O'Malley deserves the rematch, I agree with people on here about that. I think O'Malley won't just win the rematch but will finish Merab.

Yan? Why Yan?? He did even worse than O'malley vs Merab

It's official. This is no longer a sport, it's a goddamn circus. Clowns fucking everywhere.

I have not watched one UFC event since they made the interim DEFEND his belt. LOL for the juice monkey. That did it for me. I visit the dog when bored at work just out of habit UFC wise it’s a wrap for me. Still watch other mma but you can’t defend that move with a healthy champ. It’s inexcusable.

Hope Sean wins this so we get the 3rd then 4th then 5th.

In the last 10 years the product has dropped immensely. Don’t get me wrong the athletes are amazing. But it’s truly become less then bush league. LESS THEN BUSH LEAGUE.

This is what happens when you supercede merit for superfluous match making like Merab vs Umar. You make Merab vs figgy, the right match up. Then you get O'malley vs Yan, and Merab vs Song yadong for the next shot, which would be this one. But now you have both yan and O'malley with claim.

shitty dead end matchmaking like yan vs figgy and Merab vs Umar is how we're left in these situations.
So stupid

Just make Sandhagen v O'Malley already

FUCK
From a ppv perspective Yan is less a draw than O'Malley for merab

Sean doesn't deserve this match and Merab is a hypocrite for crying about Umar

Lol so he just fucking sits out and let's Merab take out the next toughest guy of the division, and just jumps back in for a rematch. Worst case of Dana White privilege I've ever seen.

So what can we expect if Sean somehow pulls it off? The trilogy fight with Chito Vera??
They will allow him to rematch Merab until he finally wins lol.
