That is what its like in many, many neighborhoods in most US cities. If kids have to be driven everywhere they'll naturally default to playing games. If they can safely bike places, they will. Of course I'm under no illusion that paving a few bike lanes will lead to most kids playing outside instead of gaming but their being able to safely bike to places would absolutely help in getting kids to go outside and exercise. The biggest threat to children under 14 are cars so naturally any good parent doesn't want their kid out and about where they're at risk of being run over.

I'm sure it was like that in some neighborhoods, even til today, but for most children the biggest threat around them are cars so its just not safe to bike around as a means of transport. I was on the road the other day and saw a painted bike lane that was in between a turning lane and a regular lane of car traffic, absolute madness that kids are expected to bike under such conditions. My friend even joked that the reason you don't see any cyclists on these painted bike lanes is because they're already dead from having ridden on them.

However, as a mod please explain to me why calling someone a groomer who is exhibiting opinions and perspectives that backup the accusation is now against the rules but it's totally cool to call someone a Nazi just for being a conservative and showing zero actual views and perspectives that suggest they're supportive of Nazis or the holocaust whatsoever.

Do not say it's because grooming is worse than Nazism because they're both equally abhorrent.

Short answer? The groomer accusations was happening way way way more often. It was the sudden plethora of them that caused the reaction.

If another poster calls you a Nazi, hit the report button. At a minimum that’s a delete, and would be cards from a problem poster or if they’d already had a delete warning once or twice
