News McGregor back in court

Sadly ppl don't educate themselves or understand how a criminal conviction works. It's very rare to get a criminal conviction in a rape case because you have to be able to prove with 100% certainty that the person raped you. Often ppl have evidence they were raped but proving it was a particular person isn't easy. 3% of rape cases actually end in convictions which is insane. Most go the civil route because of this. But unfortunately, you have ppl that don't understand this and automatically jump to the conclusion that she's after money and is a liar with no case because she couldn't get a criminal conviction

Exactly.

While what you say is true, it is even worse than that.

It's not only that most people don't know that proving rape in court is exorbitantly difficult, ending in extremely few convictions that do not correspond to the number of true accusations. Many people, particularly men, will believe that in fact it is more likely that in a case like this the accuser is a money-grabbing opportunist, than to give her the benefit of doubt, even in the presence of overwhelming evidence. Misogyny is not rooted in disinformation, but like racism and other pathologies like that, on irrational bias.

Even though the number of sexual assaults against women is far larger than false accusations by opportunists, people will favor the hypothesis that matches their bigotry, even more so if they happen to have a liking for McGregor as a personality, which of course millions do.

This is a man with ludicrous amounts of money, proven criminal record, who has shown not only reckless but harmful behavior to civilians, with many accusations of this sort, a proven drunk and drug user, angry party animal, who also has power and very deep connections in the Irish criminal world. This woman is a hairdresser, a former drug user and drunk, who partied like an idiot as an adult woman in her late 20s. The quality of legal representation she can afford, the potential of corruption, and the danger this presents for her, does not yield an even playing field. Judicial systems are often very defective as instruments for justice, and this case provides sad but disarming evidence of this.

In this case, there is one simple and definitive fact: the woman was battered badly, the doctors that saw her testified to her condition, having a tampon removed with a forcep, visibly traumatized, crying and shaking, bruised and injured throughout her body.

Granting the benefit of doubt to McGregor because she has memory gaps to claim this was the result of "consensual" intercourse is so ridiculous that the doctor when cross-examined by McGregor's lawyer said that in hundreds of abuse cases under his watch he had never seen anything like this.

Anyone who defends McGregor at this point is a sack of shit, and that this is not a criminal case is a travesty. The guy should rot in jail, or worse.

What’s crazy is how much cocaine is in Ireland… you know how they sneak that stuff in… Inside their ass. Conor is sniffing ass powder and sexually assaulting anyone in sight.

it actually comes in on boats from Colombia. In West Cork.

Proceedings at the case being taken by Nikita Hand against Conor McGregor and James Lawrence have begun again.

Before evidence begins, the jury foreman hands the Judge a note.

Mr Justice Alex Owens says the jury are concerned as at the end of yesterday's proceedings, they noticed someone in the public gallery using a mobile phone and pointing down at the jury.

They are worried about videos or photographs being circulated to the public.

The judge says he can't verify this. But he says it's obviously completely inappropriate. He's going to keep a careful eye on things and is going to arrange for a garda to be posted in the public gallery.

He says it's contempt of court to take photographs of the jury. And he says steps will be taken to deal with the matter if anyone is suspected of it.

Do we think his criminal friends are going to try and intimidate the jury?

Ha... Yeah I'm not coming back if I'm part of that jury.

Mr Fitzgerald says Ms Hand's friend, Danielle Kealy, made a remark that she was going to "regret this" because she had just bought a house with her boyfriend.

Surely if this Danielle Kealy character is going to be speaking in the next week or so then she's the main event right?

Day 3 over. Basically her boss at her salon and the police officer who saw her the next day both corroborated her story.

There's always the court of public perception though, and even as someone who has worked closely with being inside of and testifying on many criminal cases, the courts are flawed.

For example, it was pretty much a punchline how much everyone knew OJ was guilty despite not being found so in court. His guilt was practically pop culture. I don't think that's solely on account of everyone just being bad people with terrible personal philosophies.
You do understand Nicole was a severe drug addict that was starting to lose OJ’s financial backing. FACT. She owed money to the type of people that will absolutely kill you. They wanted OJ to pay. OJ not only was kinda already moving on it wasn’t even the first time he caught her with another man. OJ went on the run because he knew he was framed and the people that did it death by them or prison would make any man do that. Basically you swear you know exactly what happened but you have no idea and the information is available. You use that as an example when if nothing else for people that know that rabbit hole is A WHOLE lot darker than a jealous husband you destroyed your own position

I know this was isn't proof conor is guilty as such. But if you take into account him admitting to "rough sex" He's clearly justifying her bruises by saying ah yeah we had rough sex. He knows denial altogether and he's fucked. His defence is so weak that they've resorted to hoping they can pick holes in her story and try paint her as a liar.

His demeanor in court has guilt wrote all over it imo. And someone trying to snap photos of the jury can only be an attempt at intimidation.

I cannot see how he doesn't go down for this. But astonishingly he has support, ppl believe him and all he stands to lose is pocket change pretty much.

Criminal case should be opened after this and lock that scumbag up. This isn't his first rape. Too many dropped charges because of fear. Will others come foreward now? Sadly even if they do they'll be categorised as gold diggers jumping on the bandwagon. It's no wonder ppl stay silent.

K.

*edit*, fuck it, I'll be nicer. You do understand that my entire post was about public perception, because that was the first 2 words of my post, yeah? Nothing in what I said was he was factually guilty, just that people ignored that and everyone treated it as if he was. Like I said, everyone knew (which was italicized for emphasis). That was just the pop culture at the time. And nothing of the many details that have come out since that's shined doubt on that knowledge erases that that was the case.

Even if he doesn't get locked up, people need to put pressure on the UFC not to book him, they need to put pressure on BKFC to get rid of him, they need to put pressure on supermarkets not to stock his shitty booze.

Unlikely he ever fights again tbh but agreed his booze should be taken off shelves. Personally i hope he gets taken for everything he's worth in due course.

Exactly, when in fact the opposite is true. The amount of accusers who just flatly make shit up and for money is very fkn small.

Men who just assume that shit piss me off.

My ex partner was raped by her piece of shit ex husband. I know first hand what those men are - fucking disgusting pieces of shit. And Conor fits the bill 100%.

The fact McGregor could do that to her to begin with... then intimidate her be quiet, then make her go through this recounting it all again, knowing he fucking did it, and just act like everything's gravy - what a piece of shit, shows how heartless he is and how big his ego is, protect at all costs. Scum.

"She added: “He let me go and I remember saying I was sorry, as I felt that I did something wrong and I wanted to reassure him that I wouldn’t tell anyone so he wouldn’t hurt me again.

“Then he said that’s how he felt when he was in the Octagon and had to tap out three times. I thought it was such a weird thing to say."

--

People think her saying Conor said that was too ridiculous to be true. I say the opposite - as if she's gonna make up something so fkn weird and what sounds ridiculous, and then re-iterate it in court, and point it out like that.

This obviously happened. The fact this cunt is walking out the court grinning rn... He's gonna go down one day, you can't just go around raping women constantly and get away with it forever.

She also:

- did leave her job
- did see a counsellor and pay for this for years, this is documented...

To anyone who thinks she's lying - do you seriously think she went to a counsellor for years, lying, to concoct this whole thing? lmfao. Deluded.
