Absolutely, yes.
Pharmaceutical prices would probably involve some type of controls with the costs being set at a global median. Prices for medical services would be negotiated. But with the government payer ultimately holding virtually all the cards. (I haven't gotten into the weeds on Bernie's M4A proposal but this is essentially how the Canadian system functions.)
I think the costs of physicians is trickier than it seems (certainly not insurmountable). One way to accomplish this is to increase the supply of qualified medical doctors by removing artificial barriers like license maximums and perhaps creating tuition support for brilliant students from low income families, etc. driving salaries down.
I agree with you guys but just wanted to point out the cost drivers of healthcare.
