Go to Home Depot and buy a Peace Lily or Snake Plant and keep it in the car until the stink goes away. Secure it so it doesn't fly when going over speed bumps, turns, etc. Or put it in overnight when car isn't in use.

The office plant will absorb the toxic shit into the soil.

What’s everyone up to this weekend?

I’ve been working too much and will enjoy a much desired break. Heading out to get some exercise then shopping for stir fry food. Having a couple of friends over tomorrow night. Pot luck and I’m the wok chef lol. Fights, football playoffs, food and friends. Will be a nice relaxing time.

My wife bought me tickets for Christmas for Jim Gaffigan who performed here in Edmonton this weekend. Unfortunately she couldn’t come with me as she was sick. I had to dig really deep to find someone to take with me so her ticket wouldn’t go to waste. The overwhelming majority of my friends no longer live in Edmonton, and of those that are still here like the first four I talked to were all busy, as was my oldest brother who’s my only family in Edmonton.

Eventually I ended up inviting this guy who’s the husband of a paralegal from my old law firm that I’ve gotten to know over the past couple of years as our sons are in Cub Scouts together. So he and I shoot the shit for a few minutes every Thursday evening and we’ve done a couple of bottle drives together when our boys have partnered up for that.

If he had turned me down too my next try would have been a guy I used to work with in 2014 that I don’t think I’ve seen or spoken with since 2018.

I enjoyed the show as Gaffigan’s humour is really aimed at the experience of the “Everyman” family guy. But this whole experience has taught me that I really need to try and make new friends in Edmonton. No fucking clue how to do that, as almost every friend I’ve ever even had started off as someone I’ve met through school or work. I’m a dozen years out of law school these days and I work remotely from home these days and the rest of the lawyers and paralegals on my team are women and mostly in Calgary anyway.

Went to Smackdown on Friday. Got on TV multiple times. Relaxed the rest of the weekend watching football.
