As for the call out Dana told him and he started talking without thinking as he was high on the win and changed his tune in the post fight conference...
 
Note to #MaxHoliday: don't call somebody out on a certain day if you are not willing to walk the walk.

Blame Conor for renegotiating his contract after every single fight and always using some kind of public drama to force UFC's hand. Now everyone is doing it because it seems to be the only thing that works.

Aldo's accusations was that Holloway isn't going to fight at UFC 208 after saying he would, which is just a matter of public record. He isn't making any dramatic accusations, he's saying that he was told UFC 208, Pettis and Holloway were told UFC 208, Holloway said 208, then realized when 208 was.
 
This trash talk is getting nowhere.

The fight will be good tho.

Yup. He probably assumed the UFC wouldn't give him date 7 weeks after he just fought.
 
I want to believe you Max but this is like the 4th excuse you've used now. Pick an excuse and stick with it.
 
i love holloway's fights but he is annoying when he talks. probably why i could never become his fan.
 
Blahhh blahhhh just fucking fight. The fight will happen. Not sure when or where but it will happen, and it will be great. For now they should act like real fighters and handle it on twitter.
 
I am genuinely amazed that anyone can try to justify Holloways position here. Why don't you just walk about with a sign on your head saying "I hate Jose Aldo." In fact when it comes down to it, most of you don't actually hate Aldo - it's just you can't get your heads out of Conor McGregor's arse and then parrot all the shite he says till you actually believe it yourselves.

I mean, it sounds like this is on Holloway. This isn't a set up, this isn't some ruse, Holloway was told UFC 208, and then proceeded to call Aldo out for UFC 208. If he hadn't said "HE'S HIDING FROM ME!" then maybe it'd be redeemable, but there really is no defending Holloway here. It's not like Aldo and the UFC said "Seriously tho, it's in april or whatever, call him out", Max did that.

I've been a Max Holloway fan since the Schilling fight, but he got ahead of himself and should own up to that instead of trying to spin it like Aldo is the one who's wrong.
