Fluffy should get a title shot or fight Khamzat is he loses. He destroys Sean Strickland.

Fili would be a tough test for Vellejos, that would be a fun fight tho. I like Fluffy VS any of the following Strickland, Caio, Imavov, Izzy, Cannonier or Costa. I think he deserves a title eliminator but MW seems to have a few close with Caio and Imavov both impressive and I think matched currently and most likely next in line(correct me if I'm wrong). Izzy, Strickland and Cannonier are available I think so any of those would be nice. RDR and Whittaker just fought also, so RDR is viable and recently called Costa out. MW is really interesting, we just need these old heads to be active and not rank squat too long.

Anthony Hernandez vs Reinier de Ridder - They both need a fight to make it to the TS
Roman Dolidze vs the winner of Iron Turtle vs Aliskerov - Dolidze is a tough test to get into the top 10-15 for guys like Robocop, Aliskerov, Iron Turtle
Stepan Herceg vs Asu Almabayev - Who is really within the top 10 flyweights
Ode Osbourne vs Cody Durden - Loser leaves the UFC
Iasmin Lucindo vs the winner of Jessica Andrade vs Lupita
Angela Hill vs Loma Lookboonmee
Andre Fili vs Julian Erosa - Fun fighters, vets, relatively the same level
Christian Rodriguez vs Kevin Vallejos - Can Kevin beat the prospect killer?
Jean Matsumoto vs Kyler Phillips
Miles Johns vs Charles Jourdain
Christian Leroy Duncan vs Bo Nickal - Both guys came into the UFC as prospects and have quite similar records in the UFC
Eryk Anders - Cut and might consider retirement
Julius Walker vs Ion Cutelaba - A real test and a potentially fun fight
Raffael Cerqueira vs a DWCS newcomer of the next season
Elijah Smith vs Raul Rosas Jr - Prospect vs prospect
Toshiomi Kazama takes time to recover and maybe face a DWCS newcomer or Road to UFC winner next year
Joselyne Edwards vs Karol Rosa
Priscila Cachoeira vs a DWCS newcomer to keep her spot
Uros Medic vs Khaos Williams - Rebook it
Gilbert Urbina - Cut
Gabriella Fernandes vs JJ Aldrich - 3 wins in a row, let's make her fight a ranked opponent
Julija Stoliarenko - Cut. 2-7 in the UFC, she's just submitting pure strikers
Eric McConico vs Andrey Pulyaev - Both just got a win but are quite meh
Cody Brundage vs Nick Klein - Loser leaves the UFC

Cody Brundage vs. Eryk Anders - Even though I thought he won, Brundage is better at MW. Match him with another veteran who came up short tonight.
Eric McConico vs. Billy Elekana - Both men scored their first UFC wins. Happy to go with this next.
Julija Stoliarenko vs. Nicolle Caliari - Loser leaves UFC.
Gabriella Fernandes vs. Eduarda Moura - Let's give Fernandes a ranked opponent. I think her and Moura is a good shout.
Gilbert Urbina vs. Daniel Frunza - Rebound fight for both men coming off losses.
Uros Medic vs. Rhys McKee - I like this fight. Think it's a good next step for both.
Priscila Cachoeira vs. Melissa Mullins - Both coming off losses. Could be a loser leaves UFC clash.
Joselyne Edwards vs. Karol Rosa - Good win for Edwards. I don't think she gets the Silva/Aldana fights she asked for but happy to go with this next.
Toshiomi Kazama vs. Nathan Fletcher - Rebound for both off stoppage losses.
Elijah Smith vs. Rinya Nakamura - Both coming off stoppage wins. Happy to go with this next.
Raffael Cerqueira - Cut - 0-3 in UFC.
Julius Walker vs. Tuco Tokkos - Both got their first UFC wins. Let's see who can build on this.
Christian Leroy Duncan vs. César Almeida - Two strikers on two fight win streaks. Let's see who can make it three.
Miles Johns vs. Cody Garbrandt - Each has dropped 2 in a row. Makes sense to me.
Jean Matsumoto vs. Davey Grant - Winner gets a ranked opponent.
Christian Rodriguez vs. Joanderson Brito - Rebound for both men on two fight losing streaks.
Andre Fili vs. Morgan Charrière - Two veterans coming off wins.
Angela Hill vs. Denise Gomes - Must win for Hill to remain in rankings
Iasmin Lucindo vs. Gillian Robertson - Winner gets a top 5 opponent.
Ode Osbourne vs. Daniel Barez - Think this is a fun fight on paper for both men.
Steve Erceg vs. Alex Perez - Good win for Steve. Think the original fight should be rebooked.
Roman Dolidze vs. Robert Whittaker - Tough loss for Roman. Think this fight makes sense for both men especially Whittaker based on his losing streak.
Anthony Hernandez vs. Israel Adesanya - Great win for Hernandez. Happy to give him a big fight. A win over Adesanya could put him in the title picture.

Steve Erceg vs. Alex Perez - Good win for Steve. Think the original fight should be rebooked.

I feel weirdly invested in what they do with Erceg next, and I agree, I think that's the right move.

Erceg isn't as good as the UFC initially thought, what with losing the title fight then losing further brutal top 5 fights immediately thereafter, and it's fair to say he had his hands full with Ode Osbourne - unranked - but Erceg is still a good flyweight who needs to finally get an opponent that is neither elite nor unranked.

I don't like the Asu fight, I'd honestly prefer Perez, and if not Perez, Tim Elliott is another test once he's got through with his next assignment.

Flyweight is this division where you just can't get normal fights, it seems, and these guys are going from a mini-win streak to title shots within the blink of an eye. That Van is already ranked #1 is both incredibly impressive and bizarre. He's had one fight with a guy in the current top ten, lol, and I'm not saying he shouldn't be there after beating Royval, it's just kinda weird the Royval fight even came to pass in the first place.

Feels like way too many good prospects get victimized in this division. Win your way to a high level fight, then as soon as you lose you're gonna find yourself on a three-fight skid because the matchmaking is both merciless and nonsensical. It's a division where snapping a losing skid could get you a title shot, and that's clearly not right.

Honestly I am in the same mindset with you and Erceg. I think with Flyweight being such a shallow division as well, Steve being thrust into the title fight while exciting was very soon. To his credit he rose to the occasion and fought his ass off against Pantoja. But after that he definitely had a bad run of form. Perez is really the perfect fight but I do also like your suggestion of Elliott or Kai TBH with a win in that fight.

In a way it does remind me of HW in that there are some weird choices and match making. Kuniev and Blaydes was prime example of this. Kuniev looked good but debuting against someone so high in the rankings is wild. I am hoping that eventually we do get some stability in flyweight and heavyweight but feel like my hopes and that are often for naught.

Also on the note of victimization, it's the cuts as well which really get me. I remember in like early flyweight for example Dustin Ortiz and John Moraga getting cut for having 3 fight losing streaks snapped. I'm sure there are others I'm missing (not mentioning the Mokaev situation as that one is messier still).

Strickland is out of the title picture and I believe suspended? He doesn't belong in a title eliminator.

RDR x Fluffy for #1 contender

Yeah, if Caio/Imavov is getting the next shot (almost certain), that's definitely the fight to make to line up the next contender.

They gave the little Eggman such tough match-ups after Pie Kara KO'd him, I don't get why they pulled him from the Almabayev fight to feed him to Moreno either. Then they tried to feed him to an undefeated prospect but then showed him mercy by giving him a journeyman. Egg was a -600 favorite going into last night's fight for some reason. I'm not sure if Perez was a good match-up for him either right now, they should feed him another bum like Tim Elliott or Cody Durden.

Perez is hard work, definitely, but to me the kinda guy Erceg will (or at least should) beat. Still dangerous, though.

Cejudo talking about returning to FLW so do Cejudo vs Erceg and give Erceg that big name win. imo
