According to the article she was a Staffordshire Bull Terrier and not a Pitbull. There is a big difference.
I've known a couple of staffies and they were as sweet as anything. Fighting lineage should have been bred out.
With that said, that dude was way too patient, and he'll suffer for it for the rest of his life. I would have smashed her in as soon as those teeth clamped on.
