There's more than one idea, but it sounds like you understand it enough for this discussion. It sure sounds weird, but so's everything else about quantum physics; they've all turned out to be true so far though.Meh, I just don't believe parallel universes exist. Now I'm not nearly as smart as those who do, but I think their belief is a kin to folks believin
g in God. I just don't believe there is a parallel universe exponentially expanding where each one of us causes billions of new ones to exist every second by our every moment decisions. For this to be true, in a parallel universe somewhere each one of us would have won the powerball lottery, and in another we would have been raped to death by a wild hyena. We'd be married to every other person alive today as well, and I just created another one where I didn't just type "dcedhefs" but simply a different string of letters but everything else in this world would be the same as that new parallel universe.
Or maybe I completely misunderstand the idea of infinite parallel universes.
Quantum computing and AI go hand in hand, and I am extremely excited about the advent of these technologies. There are some risks, but the utility that they offer will change the world in a positive way.
That's true. The parallel universe idea has some far-reaching implications. It has the bible thumpers really worried because it obviates the need for a creator. Since every possibility is played out somewhere there's no special "here".Interesting. I don't have any sort of response because that's way too weird for me, but I had assumed they had a different idea that they were presenting in a way that would excite people.
So, the accusation of fear mongering was on target. It's all about selling those books. You're a joke, and not powerful at all. People like Ripskater listen to people like you because they don't feel like thinking for themselves. Nothing more.Well, I do understand enough about computers to understand how they operate. The fact the top scientists with the skillset your require are afraid of future AI is telling.
As usual a guy who doesn't know a thing about God or the Bible thinks they know a lot, enough to make broad general sweeping assumptions. Smells like pride to me. I bet I know a lot more about technology then you know about the spiritual. But that's another topic for another time.
You have it wrong. My calling makes me a servant, or a disciple if you will. I also do not like my calling, i do so out of obedience. God told me to write the book. So it's not pride you're hearing, more like a burdened relationship. But go study a book for 18 years, write and book for free and get back to me. It's a determined soul you are hearing who is tired of games and nonsense. A lot is required of me so forgive me if you hear some base in my voice.
God isn't going to wipe out the world with AI. AI will be a strong delusion (lie) just as I pointed out in my first post. God wants mankind saved and he sent his Son to do it. I am one of the few powerful ministers in this end times who will try and reason with humanity. My book will be a large part of that reasoning. If mankind rejects what God shows them, via my book but possibility other powerful voices, they'll only have the alternative.
Mankind by and large will choose to serve the technical system rather than the spiritual system. It will be their loss because what they choose to serve will be their downfall.
TS, if you're really worried, it's these robots you should be concerned about, not some quantum computer that probably doesn't even work yet:
Incidentally, Boston Dynamics, the company making the robots, and D-Wave, are Google properties, iirc. They're the folks you should really be worried about.
