Honestly I don't think Alex is one of "Dana's Boys", I think the whole reason he moved to LHW was that the UFC wanted Izzy to beat him and when they got the result they wanted they didnt want a rematch. So rather than have Alex snipping at Izzy hurting his credibility they offered him a quick path to the belt at LHW instead. I think Alex as champ has really been more someone the UFC can turn to in order to fill a PPV main when they need it not someone they have given the serious hype job to, what hype he has is mostly down to what he's done in the cage.
The issue is more that UFC do not like Ank, look what they did to Bader and Davis for example and its clear that they arent in favour of slow controlling grapplers being title contenders. Anks win at the weekend probably didnt do much to change their mind on that.
That said I suspect if there isnt some inter weightless fight(either moving to to HW, down to MW or DDP/Izzy moving to LHW) for Alex next it may well be Ank because their isnt really any other option at LHW.
