This is a lie, he's only turned down the fight at 300 during Ramadan, which every other Muslim fighter also turned down. Shouldn't have been offered to him in the first place.

The Ramadan excuse is the lamest in the sport. Christians have an even longer period of fasting but don't get the free pass to DUCK fights. Ramadan is 29-30 days of fasting. Lent is 40 days. Daniel's Fast is 40 days. Chaliho Sahib for the hindus is 40 days.

I'm not Muslim but it's insane to expect fighters to train while they are fasting. I do have a Muslim friend. We went hiking during Ramadan and the short hike had an unexpected uphill section that was quite brutal. It hurt him, I can't imagine what it would be like for a fighter in a training camp. Belal is the only one who does it for a reason.

That is not 100% true, people like Lohoré have been fighting during Ramadan.
They just train during the night time so they can eat before and after their training. You can still do your Salāt this way and uphold your fast while training.
