Rich people like Elon and Vivek love legal immigrant high skill workers because they won't complain or stand up to them. They are happy to be here and be yes men. Yes sir, I'll work overtime. Yes sir, I don't have family here so I won't take any time off. Yes sir, I will make you a lot more money.

It's all about money to these elites. We're all just numbers in a spreadsheet to them. The legal immigrant workers cause less problems for their bottom line. That's it.

Sponsoring the visa is a bureaucratic process that smaller companies rarely bother with because it's not worth the effort if you aren't hiring in mass.which means they have a limited job market. So they rarely change jobs until they get a green card which takes years.

A lot companies employ a strategy of throwing a lot of cheap bodies at a problem. They are the perfect employees for that. Below market wages and guaranteed to stay on the job for many years without the employer having to bother will things like annual raises, good work environments, and work life balance.

I once had a "boss" on one. Basically like a Senior Project Manager for our unique & specialized team at work.
He started out fake nice because he didn't know our scope, our roles, or the technical aspects of our day to day. Once he pumped everyone for enough information for him to fake it until he could make it to the next level, he became an actual little Napoleon tyrant to everyone. Even to the leadership team directly under him. Well he hired a new female boss. She got special treatment. Guess who got terminated for some real inappropriate stuff?????
That was the running joke at work for a while that he now had to go back and probably got his visa revoked.

The economy was still running below capacity when he was last in office. With it running as hot as it is now, higher deficits will be inflationary so another tax cut won't work without offsets. I think ultimately, we will see more cuts for the rich, offset by tax hikes on the non-rich and spending cuts, along with higher deficits that will eat away the benefit (that is, I expect Trump's economic policy will be a failure). But that's neither here nor there. The point was that it is ridiculous to deny that he's extremely pro-establishment.
