Not really possible to make significant cuts without that. As the joke goes, the gov't is basically an insurance company with an army. They're either not going to cut anything significant, or they're going to take people's healthcare or cut Social Security or SNAP or something.

And you should use another term to avoid confusion with the actual establishment. Like democracy.

He made cuts last time. Will see. No point in me speculating until then..politically establishment in the us is literally the political elites in the two parties.. but I will use a different one. Ultimately it's the 2 party political groups I'm referring

We have a two-party system because of our constitution. But the establishment generally refers to people who kind of run things--like Musk and Trump.

Kind of makes sense since the GOP has become the anti-vax party.
