Losing Faith in Pereira ...

You know his face looked like this while he was saying whatever he was saying.

Somebody asked him a question and he answered it.

He doesn't speak English, right? Maybe Smith's message was translated to him in a way he took offense to? His response did seem odd to me, but I don't think any different of him.

I thought about this, and I actually hope this is the reason.

However, Pereira never even got ruffled when Izzy mocked his own kid, after his own KO.

To me, when Pereira took all of this in stride, it showed strength.

In stark contrast, taking Smith's honest commentary to heart, so much, shows weakness, IMO.

Not sure what's going on.

The only thing that is going on is you acting like a fair weather fan, and whiney lil' bitch over a comment that you've obviously over read into something being there, when literally nothing at all was there.

How embarrassing.
<36>

Funny how easily you're willing to turn on him because of something you read or heard on the internet and not something you saw with your own eyes. In reality, neither you nor I know what's going on with him. Don't feel bad though, most people on earth do this, but I'm pretty confident in my analysis that you're a fairweather fan, you even got an AV of him and now you're losing faith in him after 1 comment....lmao.

LMAO

All those fuckin threads you bein a dick and now you lose faith in a guy who won his last fight against a former world champ in a division he didnt fight in before (in MMA)

All cos of some WORDS having to do w A.Smith

Dawwwww

If anything I feel bad for Poatan for havin flipfloppity fans like you.

I guess theyll always be some other "REAL MAN" that u can suck off in the interim.

I don’t think that Pereira is to blame for that kinda lackluster fight.
Jan has the ability to give everyone a hard night at the office and neutralize their strengths
Honestly,I thought his defensive grappling was alot better than I expected. On top of that he did threaten w a guillotine on the first TD attempt. The guy is putting in the work.

Dude took the UFC by storm.

He was the first MW not only to "beat" Adesanya, but to KO him (again), first and only in kickboxing, first and only in MMA.

Okay, on the 4th try, Adesanya FINALLY catches Pereira gets to win (while getting his ass kicked up til that point). No worries, could happen to anyone.

Then ... Pereira has lackluster win over Jan ...ka's
Oy ... credit the "lackluster" part to "elevation + caution."

But, now ???

Pereira is getting "flustered" over something Anthony Smith said, even though it was only analytical and an opinion???

Honestly, Pereira's own confidence seems to be shaking.
His unflappable demeanor was part of his aura, and he seems to be losing it.

If this continues, especially if he loses, he will have lost a big fan.
Not that he gives two shits ... but he may, because I will likely not be the only fan he loses with this type of conduct.
Standing TKO for Alex and KO'd dead cold for Izzy. Izzy > Alex in MMA.
Here is a hot take for you:

Bisping > Alex as a MW in the UFC. Both won the title but Mike successfully defended his and with only one eye.
Bisping is a MW who fought at a higher weight class to start his MMA career. Alex is a LHW who drained himself to fight a class below. Alex would be a nobody if he had not had a kickboxing history with Adesanya to go along with Izzy's achievements. Were it not for Izzy Alex never ever sniffs a UFC title shot.

I understand him holding back on Jan ... he didn't want to be "too gung-ho" and repeat his previous mistake with Izzy.

But I don't understand him "losing it" over Anthony Smith's reasonable commentary.

I don't think Smith said one single thing wrong. He was being honest.

Pereira's response showed weakness to me. I will not change my position on this.
I don't understand why you Stone Golem, and some others feel that Alex has "lost it" over Smith's comments.

Smith gave an honest observation of Pereira and Pereira responded with a sincere observation of his own.

I mean, did Alex necessarily lie about Smith?

Sometimes you guys forget that this is the prize fighting business and not the Mickey Mouse Club.

A bit of trash talk between potential foes doesn't mean anyone has "lost it".

Idk, but I'm interested in seeing them fight and Poatan knocking Smith silly, even though Alex is in the wrong.

Life is funny that way. Sometimes you wanna see the bad guys win.

Wow first Figgy now Poatan...you are dumping all your favorites!

Figgy only beat Moreno 1 out of 4
Poatan only lost to Izzy 1 out of 4

you're dumping your guys whether they win or lose what's up with that

Not sure why you would stop being a fan over something so trivial.

but really, Anthony smith is talking trash about pereira, and they could very well end up fighting each other. Alex takes his career seriously, and delusional moron smith never learns his lesson so he could end up getting wrecked yet again.

This reminds me of the Wand/Arona situation.

Their enmity goes back to when they met and Wanderlei was really mean to him, only for the fact that they were on rival teams. Arona always hated him ever since.

Wanderlei admitted later: I was the asshole in that situation but OH WELL. lmao
