Looking back at Goldberg

I kinda liked his energy, it was a good combination with Rogan's more technical comments.

Rogan has become a bit lazier as of late, I think, sometimes I feel like I'm listening to the commentary from the UFC games where he barely says anything and its always vague stuff like "oh, he hurt him", "that was a powerful shot" and stuff like that.

Just to ilustrate:

I think he's got a fractured orbital

I remember constantly calling him out on all the dumb things he said during commentary while watching fights with my friends. At times I was even more focused on correcting him than enjoying the bouts.

Now I look back and I really miss him. He was a doofus, but he was our doofus. His enthusiasm was unmistakable, and “It’s all over!” is such an iconic part of MMA history.

Don’t know what you got til it’s gone I guess.
This, to a tee. “But he was our doofus” sums up my feelings pretty well. I really like felder as far as new guys go, but moments of the non-color commentator guys come close to Goldie as far as being memorable.

Looking back at Goldberg............then looking at Brendan Fitzgerald

I see or hear no difference.

Good? Probably not.
Entertaining? Definitely!

He makes the commentator section more lively and fun.
