Looking Back At Adesanya's Overrated Record

The obsession with the '0' is a construct of modern boxing because champions mostly fight lesser guys in between big fights every few years. MMA is so much more diverse. It's so much more difficult to maintain an undefeated record fighting top guys with so many different disciplines involved.
This I blame the resurgence of Boxing on this bullshit idea. Saenchai has 41 losses on his record, that’s worse than any current UFC fighter. But he has 302 wins and could very well be considered the greatest Nak Muay to ever do it.

Samart Payakaroon Samart Has 18 losses and is almost universally considered to be the greatest Nak Muay to ever lace up.

It’s a stupid concept built upon a shitty premise. Yeah Maywheather retired 50-0 but he also cherry-picked the fuck outta people, which you can do in boxing because it isn’t a single company holding all the power.

I remember when everyone complained about every fighter humping each other, give me strikers over crotch sniffers anyday, you sound like a spoiled bitch.
Well joke's on you I've never been a whinry bitch who cries every time the fight hits the ground, like you. I've always been about embracing ALL aspects/disciplines of mma.

I feel like Costa and Romero made Israel seem better than he actually is. Last nights result didn't surprise me at all. I can count only 3 good wins in the UFC on his record.

Good wins
  • Robert Whittaker
  • Kelvin Gastelum
  • Marvin Vettori
Overrated wins
  • Costa (One dimensional, only notable wins are uriah hall, and old losing streak romero)
  • Romero (42 years old, out of prime, was/is on a losing streak)
  • Brunson (Gatekeeper, lost to old man Silva. Cerrone of the middleweight division)
Bad/unimpressive wins
  • Silva (old man)
  • Wilkinson (don't even know who that is)
  • Tavares
I feel like your post is very common on Sherdog. It’s very typical that when a Champion who has been deemed invincible loses there are threads created just like this one. “ he was never that great“ “ he always had holes in his game“ etc.

That’s why most the time this place is a crock of sh*t!

If Khabib ever lost it would be the exact same style of thread. People who fight tooth and nail and argue with strangers online instantly turn.

Just a reminder,

Silva went to 205 and finished everyone in the first round.

That's not
So in your opinion fighters cannot be compared at all? What exactly do you think we have been doing this entire time?
what I meant at all. On different nights you will get sea level Cain, Motivated BJ Penn and Horsemeat Uberreem, etc

I really hope that Jon Jones loses one day so i will witness a "Jon Jones was never that good" thread
no mma fighter on this planet has a better resume than jon jones
thats impossible even if jon losses 5 times in a row

LOL your entertaining I'll give you that. So no need for rankings then since we can't compare fighters by your logic right?

No he doesn't, and Khabib is 10x more dominant than Izzy and his bum tier grappling.

lol Izzy did more in 2 years than Khabib did in 8.
Khabib trolling you retards with his "retirement" and streak - he can't lose if he retires.

The guys good, but thats it. He huge for lightweight, Much bigger at lightweight than Izzy is at middleweight, and yet, hes scared of going up a division.

You can do this to anyone resume. I'll give you an example:

One of Khabib's best win is Poirier.

Poirier lost to Danny Castillo, KZ, Cub Swanson, Michael Johnson.

See how I just made one of Khabib's biggest win look like trash?? Lol now stfu
Shhh were not allowed to say bad things about sherdogs darling division<31>

Does anyone really respect the rankings???

Do you mean the ranking system as it is currently implemented in the UFC or the need to have a ranking system. The answer to the first question is yes and to different degree's and the answer to the second is unquestionable yes. If not how would you decided which fighter is working towards a championship fight?

People have been doing that here since 2011.

I vividly remember all the people saying that his early championship run was fraudulent because he was too big for the division before he tested positive and they got a real reason to bash him.

He did beat mw's and past prime fighters

He did beat mw's and past prime fighters

He beat all of the consensus top LHWs, except for Henderson, within a three year period.

If his competition sucked, then so did the sport.
