I feel like Costa and Romero made Israel seem better than he actually is. Last nights result didn't surprise me at all. I can count only 3 good wins in the UFC on his record.

Good wins
  • Robert Whittaker
  • Kelvin Gastelum
  • Marvin Vettori
Overrated wins
  • Costa (One dimensional, only notable wins are uriah hall, and old losing streak romero)
  • Romero (42 years old, out of prime, was/is on a losing streak)
  • Brunson (Gatekeeper, lost to old man Silva. Cerrone of the middleweight division)
Bad/unimpressive wins
  • Silva (old man)
  • Wilkinson (don't even know who that is)
  • Tavares

It's amazing that like clock right after a championship level fighter loses, their is always someone stupid enough to start minimizing their fight resume in an attempt to sound smart. How the hell is Marvin Vettori a better win then Costa and Romero. That is twilight zone level insanity...

Like clockwork, the second someone loses, they're not that good. The second their top wins start to lose, their wins were never any good. It's so easy to pick apart wins outside of context, shit on records, opposition and do anything you can to break down a man's resume to make sense of why he lost a fight you thought he should have won.

You can do this with everyone after the fact. Maybe it's just a ridiculously difficult sport to maintain dominance in and the amount of disciplines makes it even more cumbersome. When someone is 20-0 and fights the top guys, they're going to eventually lose. MMA isn't based off of one discipline. Smarten up.

You could add Vettori to that list before he beat Jack. Again, context matters. This thread sucks.

I really hope that Jon Jones loses one day so i will witness a "Jon Jones was never that good" thread

People have been doing that here since 2011.

I vividly remember all the people saying that his early championship run was fraudulent because he was too big for the division before he tested positive and they got a real reason to bash him.

He truly is overrated af and so is his coach and shitty kickboxing gym. Real Maori’s know who their best representative is.

Romero has lost 4 out of his last 5. Costa hasn't beaten anybody notable besides Hall and Romero.

A lot of us were saying what TS is saying before this fight.

Neil friggin Magny has a win over Gastelum lol.

Both him and Whittaker are failed WW’s who went on to compete in a shallow MW division to find success.

Lol @ Vetorri being a good win. If that’s the standard for MW then the division is worse than I thought.

Fixed:

Good wins
  • -
Overrated wins
  • -
Bad/unimpressive wins
  • Silva (old man)
  • Wilkinson (don't even know who that is)
  • Tavares
  • Vettori (split decision, not even sure if he won or not, got wrestled by an Italian)
  • Romero (40 years old, losing streak, nothing happened in the fight, should be a draw)
  • Gastelum (went life and death with fat WW and almost loses)
  • Brunson (career gatekeeper, panic wrestler)
  • Costa (only beat old guys, almost loses to Uriah Hall, gassed roided out freak)
  • Whittaker (lost to old man Romero, lifelong welterweight, is Australian)
