Do you think Linkedin is fake and akward ?
I just realized that no one will ever comment on the profiles updates in their feed, like
I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as...
with the comment : no one cares, or something like that
I think a comment like that that could lead to account ban or some other discrimination tactics

Yeah, it isn't a forum or Facebook, it's a professional network. I haven't used it in years so things seem to have moved on somewhat if that's the behaviour. Husband doesn't run into things like that on there.

I know some fairly serious people on there so I'd say no it's not fake bruddah.

Bro, it’s not Sherdog

You’re unfortunately not going to see posts about trannies and benching teh 275

actually, it has fallen from grace a little… there is a surprising amount of trollish bs going down on there these days

and the political bs is fucking out of control… its like the sherdog war room up in that bitch

I've been working for the same company for a long time, and I never really needed one. I'm now thinking of switching fields, so I looked into it a bit. The level of phoniness on there is beyond sickening. I'm still trying to debate whether there's any way of avoiding taking part in it.

Networking is a huge part of my job, so LinkedIn is a great tool for that.
The worst things on LinkedIn that I come across is people treating it like Facebook, meaning they post about private stuff that nobody care about or they scream about politics.
Keep that shit on Facebook or what ever.

This kind of shit

<PlusJuan>
Holy shit lunacy is the righ tterm there. I got on linkedin a couple years ago when I wanted to switch jobs and immediately got swarmed by recruiters, it was seriously offputting. Even though I explicitly state on my linkedin page I don't want them contacting me they still do, I am less than friendly with them. I also was talking with a co worker the otehr day about if our complany would notice if we blocked it, company puts out a bunch of posts a day and it's all uselees annoying shit.

Deep in the settings menu, there is a button you can click to mute all of the pollical posts and advertisements.
