Lets talk chimpanzees vs humans

Humans and chimps have different weapons. They use their teeth and muscles, we use our brains. If a chimp can use its teeth then a human can make a makeshift spear/club in about 30 seconds in the wild and skewer the chimp like a shish kabob.

It's like saying a Great White can demolish a man in the ocean, but on land even an 8 year old with a stick or rock can easily kill a Great White. Why completely disarm the offensive tools of one combatant but not the other?

Because it's not much of a contest if we're allowed our tools. This thread is a hypothetical between two land creatures whose only tools available are their bodies.

You don't have time to sit down and craft a spear mid-attack. And shit, if you're going to allow for spears, you might as well allow for snares and traps too, knowwhatImsaying?

Hand to hand combat is what we're talking about here. And I'm going to go ahead and assume you've got Chimps in that regard, seeing as how you're looking to level the playing field with weapons beyond the bodily.

Hell, even if you gave humans chimp sized fangs, we still lose. The first time another life form comes to us with better tools, we're a dead species.

Holy shit, it literally tore her hands and face off? Of at least mauled her hands to a degree that she had to amputate? That's crazy violent.
They want none of that........

Gorilla got cucked that night........

In no way was that man a "boss" right there. He was frozen in fear.

Check this video demonstrating the explosive power of the silverbacks.

Notice that charge at 0:35! It's insane!

Not to mention they are incredibly intelligent:

Amazing creatures.

PS: Check out the muscles on these chimps:

Chimps do not have the elements to resist the techniques of Jiu-Jitusu

No, we most certainly are not. We are apex predators. Prey animals tend to have lower intelligence than predatory animals. We're predators, the only difference with us compared to other predators is that we use our intelligence and the tools we were able to create with it much more than our raw physical bodies. But make no mistake, we are top of the food chain predators. Prey animals would never rule the world like we do.

Throw the average human into the wild and we suddenly are not apex predators.

Oh well, it happened: I was alone, walking a poor Jack Russell. The pit wanted the dog, I lifted the jack russell above my head, so it took my leg. Instant misery, fell to the ground as it pulled and pulled. I punched him, I tried eye-gouging him and sticking my fingers into his nostrils: all useless. Stuck my hands into his mouth "to open it" - useless. Also, he moves outwards, so I don't think I'd even manage to reach to bottom.

A guy came over and kicked the poor dog like a football and he let go.

It's sad: they put the dog out. I wish I could have taken him for myself or something.

An eye gouge didn't work?? Maybe you didn't go Jon Jones enough?

Damn straight! That question was answered in UFC 1 by Mr. Royce Gracie.

Bunch of banana-lovin' cucks in here going on about monkey-strength.

No he wasnt, this is a man who spend years approaching gorilas he might have
felt fear at some point or when the gorilla charged, but he wasnt frozen in fear otherwise he wouldnt have done it,this guy even got punched by one,yet he still continued to approach them.

By the way for people who like documentaries about nature, this is interesting:

It was a bluff charge, known Gorilla intimidation behavior.

That guy stood his ground because he dare not fuckin move.

I know,of course if they got into a confrontation the Gorilla would destroy him, that thug life vídeo is only a joke, that said in no way this man was afraid, and it also wouldnt surprise me if he had a hand gun on him,but he got charged, and charged on that documentary I posted and didnt show fear or pulled out any gun, balls of steel....

Definitely balls of steel. Reminds me of the Rhino Dart vid, where the shooter and spotter hold still until the proper moment to break and run (still not as G as calling a Silverback bluff charge, but G nonetheless). They know the beast they're dealing with, and it shows in how they handle the situation. Still, fear is present, I'd assume; it's just controlled.

A lone wolf is also prey on its own. But wolves are predators, as are we. We're pack animals. You have to judge as a collective, not as an individual. Some animals are solitary hunters like bears or certain species of cats. Others, like us or canines, are pack animals.

brass cohones for sure!

How funny is it when some low information schmuck stumbles onto the scene and makes some flyby assessment with such completely baseless authority ?

" Dooode was frozen stiff with fear....believe dat!"

get the fuck outta here!

You have to admit though that humans are incredibly fragile compared to wild animals, biologically and physically speaking.

We will need all the clothing, shelter, weapons, and nutrition and makeshift cooking skills we can muster to make it.

Fair enough. But a lone wolf can't take down large prey on its own. Big cats and bears often kill them because unlike canines they're effective solo hunters. We're basically predators that use our hands and our brains instead of teeth and claws.

You have to take into consideration, that there is much stronger sexual dimorphism in chimps than in humans. Human women have 0.95 times the height and weight of human males on average (not that many people actually meet that average, there's lots of strong women and weak men) while female chimps have only 0.66 times the height and weight of male chimps. Chimps are generally 1.395 times stronger than humans pound per pound, but human men are one third heavier than their ape counterparts, so male chimps have 0.93 times the strength of a man, while human women are on average more than twice as heavy and tall as female chimps, which means human women surprisingly are even 1.55 times stronger than their hairy rivals. Male chimps in their prime would only be 1.03 times stronger than trained human women, which relativises their superior agility, climbing capabilities and ferocious teeth. A strong kick to the legs or torso is much easier to pull off than a bite while having equal potential to immobilise the enemy, humans could even do both, depending on the situation, while chimps could never truly kick someone due to anatomy. So I don't see the chimps having a fighting advantage one on one, humans could hold their own especially in a group fight were not only males but also females are involved. Male chimps can go head to head with an unarmed human but female chimps would be bantha fodder.

My money is on an alpha chimp to win 99/100 times even against someone like Brock Lesnar...

I even remember hearing Joe Rogan talk about chimps on his podcast. He said they have a different kind of strength then that of humans. He has handled chimps and he said it felt like a solid block of wood..

When pissed, they are too vicious, too wild, too fast, and too strong for a human

For sure, imagine having gorilla strength combined with honey badger viciousness.

Even if you win against a chimp, however unlikely that may be, you're probably leaving the fight with a testicle and an eyeball missing.
It's not just strength. These creatures can jump and climb and be on top of you before you know what hits you. Their agility, speed, and pure viciousness along with their strength is too much for one person to handle.

You have humans who are very strong, but those are people who train for that. There are people who are agile and can climb shit, but they train for that. You have fighters who can be aggressive, who once again, have to train to be that way. Chimps are all of things in one by nature.
