Had to put my dog down about a month ago. 12 years old, Rot, Norwegian Elkhound mix

In the market for a new one. Im thinking about a puppy, never had a dog growing up and having a puppy is always something I have wanted. Still mulling it over on breed.

That's tough, man. Sorry to hear.
Puppies are great, just keep in mind they are about 3X the work! BUT, you get that much more time with them too.

This is Izzy kickin' it by the pool with us. She's 8 years old and likes crappy novels

She's a rescue that was left outside a vet's office. Our friend (who died a few years later) gave her to us after taking her off the vet's hands.

She a Catahoula leopard dog with some other stuff mixed in. She's alpha as fuck and likes to hump other dogs even though she's fixed. Other than that she's pretty much the best ever.

Saw a bulletin posted at my work about cheap puppies, no mention of breed. I went and checked them out after work one day, scooped my guy up at 8 weeks old. There was also a chocolate that I was thinking about getting, but I didn't want a female dog.
