Nice resume, maybe he should try to do something besides spam TD attempts, he just might actually succeed
He punched and kicked Yan a bunch too.

"Endless cardio" is not a combat technique. Go away and come back when you're no longer a 10 year old dipshit.
That's the thing though. Every TD attempt was effective, for what Merab was trying to do in the bigger picture, whether Merab got him down or not. He had Yan preoccupied with reacting, defending, and even getting hit after TD attempts. He needed cardio to implement the game plan but he also needed speed and timing. Great performance. Calling anything garbage, is really ignorant.
You're an idiot. Someone ban this foolHe was on the offensive for 25 minutes straight. Very unusual as a wrestler to be able to do that, I gave him props for the cardio. It also won him the rounds. But other than cardio very unimpressive

So Yan's eye was swollen shut from missed takedowns?
Yan got his eye busted in first roundYour 1st pic is an elbow to the top of the head, then pan down to a swollen eye?
If their heads didn't clash, Yan wouldn't have a scratch.
Poor Yan, can't even beat a skilless guy who just has carido
Just how bad is Petr Yan then, TS? lol these threads are so fucking dumb.
Your eyes are shit if that's all you saw in the fight.

I think you should reconsider your use of meaningless statistics before you sound off... Looking at striking ratio in a fight where Yan barely got to throw any?
Lol you say that like it's a bad thing. He didn't get to throw many because he was being dominated by a superior fighter.
I saw the following combat techniques on display:
1) spam TD attempts
2) spam punches and kicks with not much behind them
That's pretty much it, nice cardio, props to McGregor FAST program
I can see this fight went right over your head. What was this bigger picture you're talking about? The big picture is to spam TDs and nothing strikes to victory. Those were not instrumental to implementing his game plan, they were his game plan.
I'm pretty sure you watched a different fight than most. This guy is like Khabib without any offensive ability. He can spam a million takedown attempts and throw nothing strikes, but I didn't see much else tonight.
He won every round by a narrow margin, technically those takedowns are not supposed to count for anything on the score cards since Yan popped back up each time.
So kudos to his cardio ( is he on the McGregor FAST program?), can't say I'm impressed otherwise.
Yan got his eye busted in first round
Stop crying and accept yan got dominates 50-45 thats it
