In Overeem's Pride debut he was knocked down by a spinning back kick and later came back to win by kneeing the guy in the stomach and the dude fell out of the ring and the fight was over. Crazy because that is the only time Overeem has came back from being hurt in his 50+ fight career, and he's been hurt a lot.

This one's a myth, even though it was on Wikipedia for a long time.

If you search, there's an interview where Igor laughs and says it's made up.
 
Ken Shamrock beat up Frank Dux of Bloodsport fame.

Dan Henderson entered the UFC with 2 pride belts and lost them to Rampage and Anderson in Champion vs Champion matches.

Royce Gracie was chosen to fight in the UFC because he was the small, nice one lol...
 
That Brock Lesnar was actually healthy during his run where he lost to Cain and Reem.

The narrative was that Brock was healthy and a destroyer of worlds when he beat Couture and Mir and sick and never the same when he lost to Cain and Reem. Brock was sick when he came into the UFC and it wasn't until after the Mir fight that he finally went to the doctor and found out he had diverticulitis. He had surgery, came back and beat Carwin. He then went on to get destroyed by Cain.

He was then scheduled to fight JDS for #1 contender and got sick again. He finally had drastic surgery and said he felt better than he ever had in his life. He ended up fighting Reem who destroyed him and he retired to the WWE where he looks physically bigger than ever and has not had any other issues with the surgery.

So the reality is that Brock was sick when he was destroying guys and got destroyed when he was actually healthy. The truth is he just finally fought guys that he couldn't bully and was not at an elite level.
 
Despite having nearly 40 professional fights Robbie Lawler has never fought outside of the United States.
 
Matt Hughes was originally supposed to defend his championship against Anderson Silva at UFC 36, Silva opted to go to Pride for more money so Hughes ended up defending his championship against Sakurai instead.

I almost hate the UFC more for editing out that nasty affair. Good for Shogun destroying the guy the UFC put in front of him to make a name for himself. Shogun's the man
