He's going to sign
Well.. Masvidal suckerpunched him... he might want to take that one back.

Perhaps lol,Cuz of Colby's pearly whites

Winning fights is exactly what Colby needs to do, since he doesn't do it enough.Lol this is the most obvious case of ducking in ages.
Also funny to see how many people are rustled by Colby to the point of losing any trace of objectivity.
Colby handled Mas better than Usman did in the first fight, he gave Usman two wars whilst Usman was in his absolute prime. The same Usman dominated Leon and only lost because he was confidently coasting to an easy decision.
At the moment, the only possible bigger challenge than Colby is Khamzat, but he was not able to make weight in his last WW outing.
Colby would obviously be the favorite against Leon, but winning those fights is exactly what Leon needs to do to build his legacy and gain recognition.

Yeah, white privilege is nonsensePerhaps lol,
IDK I just tend to get enraged at the BS concept of white privilege, its fucking nonsense.
Yeah, no. The way he fought prime Usman was way more impressive than the victories that Leon got. The way he absolutely dominated Masvidal, who is a top contender has solidified him as the top dog in the division.Winning fights is exactly what Colby needs to do, since he doesn't do it enough.
Yeah, we all think he's great. It'd be nice if he could prove it against contenders like everyone else though
The way he fought prime Usman was not good enough twice, so he should take a step back. The fact you say Masvidal is a "top contender" should have you laughed at. Belal has a finish against a better opponent in his last fight alone. So maybe this "objectivity" thing is just something you struggle with.Yeah, no. Anyone with a semblence of objectivity knows it, Dana knows it, and Leon knows it - and he doesn't want any of that smoke so he's ducking.
He will NOT sign the contract until they give him a new contract himself at which point he will absolutely sign the contract.
No, it was definitely good enough. I watch fights, not the results. Masvidal is literally a top contender, he's fighting Burns, another top contender, in a few weeks. The way he fought prime Usman was not good enough twice, so he should take a step back. I generally agree with your fundamental point: champions shouldn't avoid fights. But this is a pretty clear exception to that rule. The UFC has been super disrespectful to Leon throughout the years. Hell, they even brought Colby in as a backup to 286 without telling the champ, which is ludicrous. And now not only do they want him to fight an undeserving challenger, but they surprisingly announced it at the post-fight press conference--which violates Dana's own rule of not making fights at the presser. And let's not forget that Leon was on an 8-fight win streak when the UFC removed him from the rankings due to "inactivity," which partially wasn't even his fault (remember Covid canceled his Woodley fight). Now Colby gets a title shot on a 1-fight win streak after a year of inactivity (of his own doing)? Not a fan of Colby but sick of "champs" refusing to fight. Great that Colby haters are beating their chests, but this is a poor precedent to set. Champ decides who he will/won't fight. That's a recipe for absolute disaster in the UFC.
Stop being a child. Dana has most of the leverage. Edwards has some leverage. Now it's negotiation time.
