No, Mas is not more deserving than Colby. At least he's trying to win an actual fight to make himself relevant again. Burns gave Khamzat his toughest fight by far so it's not like Mas is picking easy fights.

The actual challenger should be Belal or I guess the winner of Belal vs. Shavkat if that fight happens. But given Usman was allowed to cherry-pick Masvidal twice for the easy payday, I would extend Leon the same privilege if Mas is able to beat Burns which I don't think he will.

The Usman vs Masvidal rivalry was very uninteresting IMO but Leon vs Mas has actual bad blood behind it.

Colby is not far from another title shot but he should go and win a fight first.
