If being "intersex" doesn't change your biological functions, it doesn't matter because you still function as either male or female and that's what you are.

Being male means overwhelming physical advantages, more significant than any PED an athlete could take, that don't disappear just because the person feels like a different gender. Where's the concern for the female athletes NOT being given an equal playing field. The idea that their stance is about "equality" is just a comforting little narrative that exists nowhere except in their own head. It makes them feel superior and more virtuous than other people. They claim they're empathetic. That's not empathy, it's ego.

I have explained elsewhere earlier today, and sometime in the past on this forum, that the issue of trans athletes in sports is a disgusting strawman* intended to conflate the (perhaps reasonable, and undoubtedly rather common) concern, with tarring trans people in general as some kind of threat to humanity. Trans people are individuals and should be treated like it, just like anyone from any group would want. They aren't some hive mind trying to degrade the planet by their existence. Ironically, it's fucking dumb and obvious scapegoating by the type of people who always go after scapegoats.



*All the attention being paid to the rather subtle issue of transgender people in sports (are there even so much as ten in all of professional/international sport?) by a bunch of people who aren't in the medical profession or in sport professionally) is to blow it out of proportion; the people pushing it have been quite successful. It's nauseating. Several people in the Trump administration have accusations of sexual assault on minors against them but it's trans people that are the big threat to kids to these pathetic morons.

Don't you think it's a serious concern though that trans people would be forced to compete in the wrong category just because of what they were assigned at birth? Protecting them from being tarred by Trumpers is important sure, all deserve not to be tarred as such, but we can't have a certain category simply having to "know their place" and have to compete in the wrong category, a modern day public humiliation of a human being because they are a second class citizen because of how they were born.

I'm all for lgbtq rights, such as marriage and discrimination protections, but it just doesn't make any sense to have biologically male people competing against biological females. Also parents are the ones who have the right to talk with their children about biology and sexual development.

I talked to my best friend before the election and was shocked he was considering voting for Trump. I'm pretty sure I talked him out of it but schools telling kids they have a safe space to talk about their sexuality and that their parents would be kept out of the loop was his main reason. I told him I didn't think that occurred but that's the policy at the school his son works.

I still think gestation, the physiological development of a human, is far too complex to fit into a box that you can label "male/female" to appease religious beliefs or it's called mental illness. You have to be fair all around though, and especially for someone that went through puberty with testicles, competing against women is unethical.

Isn't sports full of people with genetic advantages anyways? I agree biology is generally too complex to fit into 2 boxes, but isn't that exactly why we shouldn't be upholding a rigid gender dichotomy in sports?

There are so many presidential nominees talk about that any one single issue could be said they 'barely' talk about, but its actually quite interesting she didn't talk about trans-issues more... because it was obviously divisive toward the greater voting population.

In fact it polled so badly, that's why the Trump campaign made a campaign ad out of an answer she gave in an old interview from her first attempt to run for the Democrat Nomination in 2019 about trans-prisoners getting taxpayer-funded sex changes.

So its not about what she said or didn't... in 2024... it was about what she said in 2019, and she never bothered to address it in 2024. She chose to disdirect about the subject when she was asked about it by Brett Baier in her Fox News interview.

In other words, Democrat candidates should strongly consider avoiding the subject at all costs or it may bite then in the ass, if not sooner than later.

I don’t see how the left can fix this when the right can just use social media and its major news networks to scream about trans people constantly. If the dems defend it they alienate people some independents but if they throw trans people under the bus then they also risk alienation some of their own base. The best course of action is to take the Bernie approach and speak to all Americans and actually believe in something and fight for it. Here’s the post from X that I mentioned earlier. There is no value letting any born male physically compete with a female genetically, transgenders will also take advantage of this for financial reasons . It makes as much sense as the female who became a male and got hurt bad in boxing because she thought adding muscles would make her equally strong as a man….ooops .
