Leave a David vs Goliath fight

Would Bendo be even bigger than Maynard?

I think you’re right. I suggested those ones with Maynard because imo they were better fights and more dramatic. But Edgar vs Henderson bouts would also apply too, haven’t seen those in years but I remember thinking Frankie won the rematch.

not the same sport, but one of biggest ones i ever saw was valuev against monte barrett. never saw a guy exhaust himself midfight like that just purely from punching uphill.

Jon Jones
Matt Serra is legitimately 5'2" and he made the 5'11" Georges St-Pierre tap to strikes in less than 4 minutes.

Pretty epic. Sera wasn't powerful enough to put him out but just gave the big brother treatment and made him tap to strikes. Absolutely epic.

I can't stand Sera but great W. Sera is the goat killer.

When a guy who badly missed weight at 170, calls out a former 155 to fight him at 185, despite wanting to fight for the belt at 170. Yes, I do think Khamzat is gonna be 170 champ soon, but that's a bad look IMO

Deron Winn vs. Antonio Arroyo at a Catchweight of 195 pounds. Arroyo is 6'3" with a 73.5" reach. Deron Winn is 5'6" with a 70" reach. Deron Winn made Arroyo look like he had never wrestled a day in his life and exhausted him over the course of three rounds with a relentless, grinding pace.
I honestly think Winn should fight at 205

Why's that? Lack of depth and fellow grapplers is the only argument I could see for it.
He had success at that weight before.

Just like how Jake Shields should have stayed at 185, rather than come to 170 when he came to the UFC

He's also had some success at Middleweight (and the silly amount of intermediate Catchweights) -- against a higher level competition than any of the guys he ever fought at 205, to boot. Just food for thought.

Couture was already an MMA old man at 44 and had just been violently knocked out of the LHW division by Chuck Liddell. Then he moves up to fight the reigning HW champ and immediately drops him, then dominates him for the next 25 minutes.
Shades of the H-Bomb there with that little step in inside leg kick. I don’t think big Timmy ever really recovered from the shock of being dropped like that in the opening of the fight.
