If it's true, I wonder how they'll explain this. Though there is a teensy weensy wiggle room that Sam Jackson wasn't looking when shooting...

They can use any of the number of ways that Austin Powers brought people back.

Channing Tatum Joins the Cast of KINGSMAN: THE GOLDEN CIRCLE

Channing Tatum has joined cast of Kingsman: The Golden Circle, Matthew Vaughn’s sequel to his 2014 action spy hit, the actor confirmed on Wednesday. "I'm about to get all up in that Golden Circle. #Kingsman," Tatum tweeted.

Taron Egerton and Mark Strong are the returning castmembers and Colin Firth is due to return as well, although in what capacity remains shrouded. The movie is casting up as it heads into a production start in early May in London. Julianne Moore, Halle Berry and Pedro Pascal are among the new named on the roll call.

The new movie continues the adventures of a wayward tough (Egerton) from the wrong side of London who was taken in and, a la Pygmalion, turned into the best and brightest of British operatives.

Tatum’s role is unclear as he was offered several, according to sources. The roles ranged from supporting to cameos. He could even end up playing himself. Elton John is also in talks to join the production and his role is equally being kept secret. Kingsman: The Golden Circle opens June 16, 2017.

With Gambit not taking place any time soon, it left a big opening in Tatum's schedule.

I enjoyed the first movie, but people are throwing 8s and 9s around like it's going out of style in this thread.

I honestly give it a 10. My favorite movie in years. I've seriously seen it like 8 times already.

One concern for the sequel is that the training the street kid was the main part of the storyline and now that that's over with, they need a strong script to keep it fresh.

Dang tatum look hecka bow-legged in that pic.

I honestly think they had no idea the movie would end up as popular as it did because killing off Colin Firth's character the way they did seems pretty permanent and trying to basically ret con having your brain splatter all over the pavement is pretty silly, but alas I'm sure they'll come up with some sort of cockamamie reason he lived through that.

Now my word of the Day when I got work tomorrow will be cockamamie

Not what I read. Firth is as dead as Uncle Ben.

Suddenly not interested in this movie now.

Reports have been coming in since last year that Colin Firth could possibly return. Last month, they officially released a promo poster teasing Galahad's return.

KINGSMAN: THE GOLDEN CIRCLE Poster Teases Colin Firth's Return

With more than a year to go before its release, Taron Egerton took to Twitter Thursday to release a new teaser image for Kingsman: The Golden Circle, suggesting that the world hasn't seen the last of Harry Hart.

Egerton tweeted the image — which features the famous Mark Twain misquote, "Reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated," beneath a pair of glasses worn by Hart, Colin Firth's character in the first Kingsman — with the caption, "A message from an old friend."

Whether this means that Firth's Hart definitely survived his shooting by Samuel L. Jackson's Richmond Valentine in the first movie, or just that someone in the movie wants to make that appear to be the case is likely to remain unclear for awhile longer, of course. Kingsman: The Golden Circle will be released on June 16, 2017.

Elton John Confirms He Will Appear in KINGSMAN: THE GOLDEN CIRCLE

Last month came the revelation that musician Sir Elton John was in talks for a role in the upcoming Kingsman: The Golden Circle, and the man himself has taken to Instagram to confirm the casting with a new poster for the film.

Parodying the previous poster for the film, which itself teased the return of Colin Firth’s Harry Hart, the image reads “Wednesday night’s alright for fighting” (a parody itself of John’s song “Saturday Night’s Alright for Fighting”) but also featuring a pair of his trademark sunglasses. “It’s been a long time since Tommy…..” John wrote in his post, citing the last time he acted in a feature film.

Jeff Bridges Joins the Cast of KINGSMAN: THE GOLDEN CIRCLE

The Dude will next be fighting for Queen and Country in some capacity, as Jeff Bridges has joined the cast of Kingsman: The Golden Circle, Matthew Vaughn’s follow up to his 2015 over the top spy actioner Kingsman: The Secret Service.

The Iron Man and The Big Lebowski actor confirmed the news this morning the same way almost every other new cast member has: on Twitter, with a Kingsman poster bearing cryptic text suggesting something about his character. “The only golden circle I want vexing me,” the image says, “is the one my glass leaves behind on the table.”

Picking up from where the original film left off, Kingsman: The Golden Circle sees Chav-turned-superspy Gary “Eggsy” Unwin (Taron Egerton) and his supervisor Merlin (Mark Strong) heading to the US to join forces with the “Statesman”, the Kingsman agency’s American counterparts, after the destruction of Kingsman HQ at the hands of evil mastermind Poppy (Julianne Moore).

The film also sees the return of Colin Firth as Harry Hart (despite the character’s apparent death in the first outing), joined this time out by Halle Berry, Channing Tatum, Edward Holcroft, Sophie Cookson, Pedro Pascal, and, no really, Sir Elton John.

Vaughn is directing the 20th Century Fox film from a script he cowrote with Jane Goldman. Kingsman: The Golden Circle hits theaters 16 June 2017.
