KINGSMAN: THE GOLDEN CIRCLE Poster Teases Colin Firth's Return

With more than a year to go before its release, Taron Egerton took to Twitter Thursday to release a new teaser image for Kingsman: The Golden Circle, suggesting that the world hasn't seen the last of Harry Hart.

Egerton tweeted the image — which features the famous Mark Twain misquote, "Reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated," beneath a pair of glasses worn by Hart, Colin Firth's character in the first Kingsman — with the caption, "A message from an old friend."

Whether this means that Firth's Hart definitely survived his shooting by Samuel L. Jackson's Richmond Valentine in the first movie, or just that someone in the movie wants to make that appear to be the case is likely to remain unclear for awhile longer, of course. Kingsman: The Golden Circle will be released on June 16, 2017.

'Kingsman: The Golden Circle' Teaser Image Suggests Death Is Not the End

I always had this idea for a character. He'd be part of this ridiculously over-the-top comedy trilogy where he'd die in increasingly convoluted ways, then return in the next film with no explanation why. The main characters would be shocked, but by the end they just go with it.

I'm saying Harry Hart should be like this.

Don't. Just don't do it. Any version of it. He's dead. Not wounded. Has no evil and/or twin brothers. No clones. No revivals.

If it's true, I wonder how they'll explain this. Though there is a teensy weensy wiggle room that Sam Jackson wasn't looking when shooting...

Pedro Pascal Joins the Cast of KINGSMAN: THE GOLDEN CIRCLE

Pedro Pascal, who so flamboyantly played Oberyn Martell in Game of Thrones before meeting an infamously grisly end, has joined Matthew Vaughn’s Kingsman: The Golden Circle.

Pascal’s character is believed to be called Jack Daniels. Vaughn’s second installment of the stylish spy caper, the original of which grossed over $415 million for Fox, is casting up ahead of starting production later this year.

In addition to lead Taron Egerton and the returning Edward Holcroft, Halle Berry and Julianne Moore are also believed to be in the mix. Vaughn and Jane Goldman wrote the script for the sequel to Kingsman: The Secret Service.

In addition to his swashbuckling Martell, Pascal has also drawn acclaim for his recurring role in Netflix’s Narcos as the dogged cop Javier Pena, hunting down notorious drug baron Pablo Escobar. The actor also has Zhang Yimou’s eagerly-awaited U.S.-China co-pro The Great Wall in post-production.

Elton John in Talks to Join KINGSMAN: THE GOLDEN CIRCLE

Elton-John-Kingsman-Golden-Circle-Dragonlord.jpg

Elton John is in talks to join the cast of Kingsman: The Golden Circle, Matthew Vaughn’s sequel to his 2014 action spy hit.

If a deal is made, the pop icon will join a cast that includes returning star Taron Egerton and new castmembers Julianne Moore, Halle Berry and Pedro Pascal, among others. Mark Strong is also set to return, and the production has strongly hinted that Colin Firth, who perished in the first installment, will be coming back as well.

The new movie continues the adventures of a wayward tough (Egerton) from the wrong side of London who was taken in and, a la Pygmalion, turned into the best and brightest of British operatives. It is unclear what role John is taking, although he could be playing himself.

While John has been involved in movies before — he won an Oscar for his musical work on 1994’s The Lion King — his acting efforts have been mostly limited to voiceovers for shows such as The Simpsons, in which he played himself, or acting as a narrator in DreamWorks Animation’s The Road to El Dorado.

Channing Tatum has joined cast of Kingsman: The Golden Circle, Matthew Vaughn’s sequel to his 2014 action spy hit, the actor confirmed on Wednesday. "I'm about to get all up in that Golden Circle. #Kingsman," Tatum tweeted.

Taron Egerton and Mark Strong are the returning castmembers and Colin Firth is due to return as well, although in what capacity remains shrouded. The movie is casting up as it heads into a production start in early May in London. Julianne Moore, Halle Berry and Pedro Pascal are among the new named on the roll call.

The new movie continues the adventures of a wayward tough (Egerton) from the wrong side of London who was taken in and, a la Pygmalion, turned into the best and brightest of British operatives.

Tatum’s role is unclear as he was offered several, according to sources. The roles ranged from supporting to cameos. He could even end up playing himself. Elton John is also in talks to join the production and his role is equally being kept secret. Kingsman: The Golden Circle opens June 16, 2017.

YES! Oberyn Fucking Martell. This movie just got even better.

The first one blew me away when it came out. Now the second one only seems to be getting that much bigger. Getting Tatum should really raise its profile.

Looks good.

Is it a medical problem if I stay hard until this movie comes out? Because this is seeming more and more likely.
