Kinda sad nobody is talking about DJ

it wasn't a very good fight. not much to talk about. Mouse was unable to put together any offense. Cejudo didn't seem to do much damage. He just shut DJ down. it's a win. nothing super remarkable tho. the result could honestly have not been much worse for the division and Mouse/Cejudo. A mostly uneventful long fight between the two best guys in a division that people are largely at best luke warm about. crickets.

Losing a split decision to a guy he beat before

He didn't go out with a bang, he went out with a whimper. Could have been something else if "HOLY SHIT MM GOT KTFOED!!!"
This!
If it was another judge, he may still be the champion. Fedor, Aldo and Cain were finished.

Nobody cares about Mighty Mouse. Dana is getting ready to offer him a 20/20 contract

he only ever fought cans and ducked his one chance at a mega fight. seems like a good dude but hard to be a huge fan tbh.

The whole way thru the guy acted like his streak was no big deal. If that's how your going to act about it then that's how were going to act about it

His win streak got snapped after a total of 11 defences. He had been at the top of p4p for so long. When Fedor lost to werdum, the site crashed. When Cain lost, same thing. Aldo. Renan. The list goes on.
Sadly nobody is talking about DJ much. It might have to do with the fact it was competitive but still, sorta sad. Even after 11 defences, people just don't care about him much, even the hardcores.

Ive been going off since the fight..absolutly insulting was that decison..what a horrible way to end such a great title reign

Fedor was considered the best MMA fighter on the planet at the time....you know....if you took away weight classes and had everyone fight Fedor is #1 at that time.

DJ was a 135lb fighter who jumped on a new division 125lb and defended his title a bunch. No history = no fucks given.

What's there to really talk about? The only truly elite fighter he ever fought was Cruz and he got beaten 50-45 across the board by Cruz.

Title defenses don't mean anything as is. To have defended against as many low level fighters as he did, is not impressive and not anything truly worth talking about IMO

People are happy Cejudo won and did us the favor of getting rid of Mini Mouse

I'm glad to be taking about Cuedjo

It's his own fault he had a chance to solidify his legacy and wouldn't, so people sharp went off him for that.

He's a really good fighter, but truth is his division is weak; there aren't too many 125 lb men in the fighting world. He's got good skills but even if he had won here cleanly and continued on, it will always be a weak division.

There are plenty of posts in Sherdog. But IMO like a lot others he was the Ronda of his division, except she lost to someone a little more legit than Cejudo who I think is nothing special. There was a reason he wanted nothing to do with TJ as he too knew his limitations.

top of p4p list? what a joke. look at his resume.. who has he beat?. its one of the weakest resumes ever in terms of people who are talked about as GOAT. I am sorry but he is nowhere near it.

People ARE talking about him. In fact, 1 minute before you created this thread, some guy named TerraRayzing posted another thread with the same exact title.

people keep saying this, and it's such fucking bullshit.

mccall, benavidez, dodson, moraga, horiguchi, cejudo were all top dogs when he beat them, and he beat them all in dominant fashion.

every single dominant champion who has cleaned out their division was forced to fight some lesser opponents, simply because they'd already beaten everyone else. GSP fought hardy and diaz, anderson fought lutter, leites, cote... but DJ throws ray borg in the air and armbars him while he's falling down and people say he never fought anyone.

it's one thing to say you aren't a fan of the guy, and it's completely fair. but to insinuate his opponents weren't skilled is fucking ignorant. the division had plenty of awesome fighters, johnson was just a lot better than them.

Fedor after losing ..."The one who doesn't fall, doesn't stand up." DJ after losing..."I want to play video games."

I thought Mighty Mouse looked off the mark for sure

Idk, with all these double and triple posts it certainly seems like sherdog exploded.
