Jones entered the sport when the skill level was primitive by today’s standards. That’s like saying Royce is the GOAT because he knew what a triangle was before the American public

Lol, Glover is champ now and you think that it was more primitive back then? LHW was a lot better at that time.

Also Dude look at the guys that Khamzat has beaten, they are all very mediocre.. they wouldn't be considered top level WWs in 2012..

Yeah, I think optically in the way that Khamzat is just steamrolling everyone with absolutely no resistance looks like something else, but there are comparable ones when you look at it. I do think GM3, Ikram and Leech are competent fighters though and Khamzat made all three of them look like they had absolutely no business being in the cage with him.

Those are easily his 3 best. No one else is worth mentioning as competent besides Hlongwa and Rhys

Not sure what to make of Hlongwa yet, his performance against Khamzat looks really good in retrospect. Hopefully we'll see him again soon. Rhys got a tough run of it in the UFC with Khamzat and Morono too, he looked great in his recent Cage Warriors fight.

Well, were all typing on a phone these days keyboard is a bit outdated were not in the 90's.

6"2 and fighting at WW and bragging like it's a big deal to ragdoll a smaller guy...yeah he's needs to man up and fight in his own weight class.

I think he's fighting at 170 because he wants to be a three division world champion.

I also think he can do it.

Yeah and KOing Jai is cool. I think Jai will pick up a few more decent wins in UFC too

Yeah, it's just the loss to Brazier that hasn't aged well, but I think Rhys would beat the fuck out of Terry if they rematched today.

Kamaru’s best win is a kickboxing bout with Colby Covington who got bloodied by Damien Maia prior. It’s soon going to look foolish we ever considered Usman p4p #1
Damien Maia is good and will likely be in the Hall of Fame, so, suck it TS. Marty likely owns Khamzat but Khamzat isn't even close to his level yet so we won't see it. yet.

Usman just fought fat LW journeyman Jorge Masvidal twice. I'm sure we will see him fight a dominant WW prospect like Khamzat.

Lol no he doesn't. He's performing well but let's not get carried away here.
I mean in their style, not in the gap of victory performance between them and their opponents. They're both very in your face, with putting physical intangibles onto you. I don't expect Chimaev to have that same gap between him and his opponents performance the further he moves up the ranks. But if he continues to improve I think he can give the top of the WW division similar problems with that physical intangibility and putting it on guys. It's why i'd like to see Chimaev fight Wonderboy next. Burns just recently fought Wonderboy too. And although burns won, Wonderboy being his usual hard to get your hands on him style made it difficult for Gilbert to really build the momentum against him. Would tell us a lot to see how chimaev's performance compared to burns where they often employ similar styles of getting after it and seeing if you can handle their pressure/strengths.

It would be so fun if Khamzat is glass chinned, finds a way to the title shot via quick dominations and then gets slept by the first cross from Usman. Sherdog will burn then.

I'd argue his best win at WW is actually Burns. Burns has just been juggernauting everyone else at WW not named Usman. And proved how dangerous he is even to Usman with how he stunned him round 1 in their fight. I respect Colby's ability to fight and think he's real good too. But slightly behind current day burns to me, who is the second most potent fighter at 170 outside of potential unproven prospects in my eyes. Since he stopped killing himself to make LW and moved up we've really seen how dangerous burns really is. And Usman put him down where almost everyone else in the division wilts to him. Burns bulldogs guys similarly to how Khamzat does.
He can bang with anyone in the division, and knows his ground game is good enough to hang. I would love to see him vs Covington, although Colby can win, I think Gil could KO him cold and Colby would never recover.

Chimagoat is a special talent and I cant wait to see him competing against the very best. No reason to worship or hate on the guy. Will he walk through Burns, Colby and Usman? Time will tell.

This guy's fall will be a sight to behold.

That's not to say he won't be champ some day, the guy clearly has potential. But holy fuck, the overhyping is crazy.

Most of the times you wait for the champion to lose... and so you can use this "he was never any good" narrative.
But you havemanaged to use this narrative even when Usman is on the throne, very close to achieve or maybe even surpass GSP's GOATness at WW...
