My Chinese GF said that the talk on Chinese social media didn't reflect what had really happened. I showed her the fight after she had been reading me quotes/posts, and she didn't believe that she was watching what the same fight that they were talking about. He was being portrayed as a hero/warrior for not tapping. He didn't have time to tap!

wow, that is a great spin

Khamzat is sort of a loose cannon in his post fight interviews. His cockiness will only continue to get worse if he finishes a top 10 guy with ease. Imagine a reporter asking him about potential khabib fight and he says that he will Smesh Khabib in the heat of the post fight moment. Khabib is also very confident in his abilities, it would be very interesting to see how he would take the trash talk from someone in his region.

Dagestani lion vs the Chechen wolf potential super fight. Who wins?
It's not a fair fight. Khamzat is a MW and Khabib is a LW.

And both man enough, at 5"9-5"10 to fight guys their own size and much larger.

Lol at Chimaev staring down his big ass nose at Cormier in the interview, a guy who was champ at a division 3 weight classes above him.

Ridiculous.
No respect for him until he fights at 185 where he belongs.
It's a bitch move to fight much smaller guys and walk around like you are dominating just from having a size advantage.
He is hiding from guys his size who will manhandle him.

Funny thing is he is a bad matchup for Izzy, but he would get wrecked by tons of guys at 185 and 205 for sure.

Lol. The retard power shines bright with this one. Never change Sherdog.

Khamzat hasn't just won every fight he's had. He's embarrassed his opponent. He made them look like amateurs. He's finished every fight before the halfway point.

He needs a test. Burns, Edwards, Colby, Wonderboy. Give him one of them. And when he steamrolls them, give him the title shot.

Khamzat fighting Wonderboy would be the worst ever stylistic match up of Wonderboy's career especially since WB is much slower and much more hittable than he was in his prime. But honestly I want to see it and im a huge WB fan over the years but I think he's going to need to quit soon before he suffers a severe beatdown from a faster, stronger, younger, fighter.

Can someone tell me how skilled of a grappler Khamzat really is? I don't know shit about grappling but when I see him and compare him to Islam and Khabib they seem to me anyways like they are far more technical
Khamzat uses a lot more energy, strength, and athleticism in his wrestling. Where Khabib and Islam use technique, leverage, relaxation to maintain energy.

Khamzat does what they do but at ten times the pace and ferocity. He is still very young just entering his prime physical years so he has incredible energy and seems tireless for now.

In Khabib's early years in the UFC he would explode with unbelievable speed and strength to close the gap and take down his opponent. This is how Khamzat attacks now at this time of his career.

. Khamzgoat fights at 170 and Khabib is both retired and on record that lightweight is his division. That aside I’ll take the active and larger fighter.

A khamzat nutrider?
Sure you will be loving it if he can get down to 155 and show his throws there as well but it's all good "if he makes weight".

I remember when GSP was coming up the ranks. He was great, but I don't think he looked half as dominant as Khamzat is right now, though GSP fought better competition.

Jones, Cain, Conor all looked pretty dominant, but I don't think not quite on Khamzat's level.

I wasn't following MMA in 2002~2003 when Fedor was more of a prospect, so I can't comment on that, but having watched his fights after the fact, he was mauling people. Khabib didn't look this dominant either. I mean he lost to Tibau let's be honest.

I know people love Cejudo and all, but not even close. Cormier was good, but he wasn't this dominant.

I have a very difficult time trying to remember someone who was as dominant as Khamzat is looking right now. I consider his win over Leech and his MW win legit wins.

The question is, is Khamzat the most dominant prospect of all time?

Khamzat is probably the most dominant..

But Jones was the most talented prospect..

Khamzat steamrolls opponents in conventional ways, where as Jones was doing things we hadn't seen before, his creativity was off the charts..

Jones is the most talented fighter that I've seen but we will see.

Being this dominant is also a form of creativity. If you've absorbed just 2 strikes in 4 fights then you're doing something unique that nobody else ever has.

But what about this guy? jk.
