I'm not opposed to seeing Nate have the shot beat out of him, but he'd never take this fight.

And even if he did, beating an old inactive Nate Diaz doesn't prove much.

Have him maul Nate but then like 20 minutes later have him fight a top 5 guy. I think that's best for everyone.
Considering how active Zat's trying to be - Nate one weekend, some other dude the following - everything can be managed. And the masses don't seem to care about Nate's losing record, they keep tuning in and Nate could really up Zat's profile. I wished this originally for Luque, but may as well be Chiamev.

Couture literally spanking Tito Ortiz comes to mind, can't beat that.
The worst case ive ever seen was tito chuck 3 sadly. Putting out his chin tapping it daring chuck to swing before putting him out cold ruined my night and my beer. Complete disrespect and disposal

I mean, Jon's still in the P4P rankings (although I think he should be removed), still under an MMA contract, and could pretty much get a fight in the works anytime he wants. I'd say that's still involved in MMA.
Tweeting isn't fighting. Slapping around your wife isn't fighting. I wonder what the Vegas odds are for Jon's next fight being in the UFC vs being in the yard at whichever prison he ends up in.

Khamzat is playing the game, building his brand. I doubt you see him talk shit about Khabib or GSP though. Levels to this

He gets paid more and the window is not long in MMA. You can tell he is cool person off camera.

Well, he is 6"2 and too much of a bitch to man up and fight at his actual weightclass of MW or LHW.

Nice that he was cucked by Cormier in the interview- a guy who at 5"9 fought and dominated monsters at HW instead of hiding behind a weight cut and could lift and throw Chimaev like a toy doll and do what he wanted to him.

lmao

literally the hardest part of MMA training and preparation is the weight cut. if he does it better than anyone it just shows his mental tenacity

Li ranked #12, was 18/6 before the fight, so ho/hum.
Wait for some serious competition.

And both man enough, at 5"9-5"10 to fight guys their own size and much larger.

Lol at Chimaev staring down his big ass nose at Cormier in the interview, a guy who was champ at a division 3 weight classes above him.

Ridiculous.
No respect for him until he fights at 185 where he belongs.
It's a bitch move to fight much smaller guys and walk around like you are dominating just from having a size advantage.
He is hiding from guys his size who will manhandle him.

Funny thing is he is a bad matchup for Izzy, but he would get wrecked by tons of guys at 185 and 205 for sure.
You made a bunch of posts over and over and over about how he won't fight at MW.

When the most recent fight before this was at MW.

WTH.

Well, were all typing on a phone these days keyboard is a bit outdated were not in the 90's.

6"2 and fighting at WW and bragging like it's a big deal to ragdoll a smaller guy...yeah he's needs to man up and fight in his own weight class.
You know height isn't weight, right? Cory Sandhagen is a huge Bantam and still lost to a much shorter Petr Yan

Nate is not a competitive fight for Khamzat, Nate is blown up 155er, Khamzat is huge and by far the best wrestler Nate has ever fought, this wouldn't even be close at this point.

Very few people at 170 are going to be able to compete with him, Magny and Chiesa have nothing for him, Luque and Burns might be interesting fights due to their skillsets, as well as Leon. Masvidal of course, but who knows how he will look after that brutal KO.

- He clearly isn’t a hype train. He’s proven beyond any doubt he is a top 10 guy, at absolute worst.

- His grappling is at the highest level. No one in the entire UFC (not even Olympian’s or champs) could replicate what he has done in the 3 fights he grappled. Kamaru Usman could not grapple as dominantly as him.

- Covid did not affect him negatively long term. He looked just as good as ever, and was extremely active on the ground and was showing no signs of slowing or tiring for the 3 minutes the fight lasted.

Questions that are left:

- He’s never been in a striking exchange so we don’t know how his chin or defensive mechanics are.

- He’s never gone into deep waters so we don’t know how he responds to exhaustion and whether or not he can push through it.

It does feel like both of the “questions” left about him are sort of wishful thinking that he will have some flaw though. Everyone who trains with him (even haters like Strickland) says he’s an animal and never slows down or backs off. So the idea that he’s gonna turn out to be a glass chin or something seems unlikely.

I do think this is a case where the few people not on the train will feel dumb in a year or two. You are seeing a clearly special talent, believe your eyes.

From purely a physical standpoint, he's a huge problem for everyone in ww. We already basically knew it, this fight just reconfirmed it
