Khamzat`s first round bruteforce against elite level

Washed Burns???

Up until Burns' figth against Khamzat (which took place in April 2022), Burns had only lost once in the previous 7 fights going back to 2018. And that one loss was to WW Champ Usman in '21. Burns might be washed in 2025...but Burns wasn't washed in 2022.

He did, beat two top-10, in Thompson and Colby.

Oh, you're right: Wonderboi was #9 when Bucks fought him.

My point with those two wins earlier was that I don't think they're good wins at this point. A couple of years ago they would have been huge.

Oddly enough, Thompson isn't even in the top 15 anymore, which doesn't make a ton of sense. Dude was 9th when fighting Bucks. Then he lost a pretty competitive fight against Bonfim, and now he's . . . not ranked at all lol. He didn't retire either.

Not a mistake exactly, more just clarifying my initial post after you quoted me in regards to Usman/Buckley.
If you consider Usman to be washed, I can understand that even if I don't agree completely.

Ah right.

Maybe washed isn't the right word to use with Usman, but I definitely think he's diminished and not what he used to be.

Oh for sure. He's closer to the end than the beginning, closer to 50 than he is to 20 kinda thing

And if what we've been told about his knees being completely shot for the last 5+ years during his reign is true, you could argue he's been out of his prime all along which is mind blowing to me
