How can u be mentally destroyed when guy did not even hurt you? What kind of fighting is this. I will hold u so my buddy can rape you? Like i would rather fight Chimaev than Ngannou and got rather holded and get pressured for 25 min than viciously KO’d.

Because he sat on him instead for 25 minutes.. I would find someone sitting on me in an MMA match more humiliating than if they respected me in combat psychologically .. I would want revenge, and I would be angry at myself for having nothing to counter it with for 25 minutes and 4 attempts to tactically adjust with my coaches, and then on top of that my coach doesn't even think I should have another go.. It would take a hell of a lot more mental strength to return from that imo than a Francis KO, because mind is everything.

Really? I didn't see much from DDP and remember him being taken down like butter. And after that he only had the ref to end the round so he could get up. Don't remember him not getting destroyed in that fight besides briefly last round in a brief transition.

My situation is not DDP's... I would obviously take being sat on cos my honour and pride isn't that of a UFC Champion in that world. If I had trained my entire life to be the best of the best and mentally accepted I was likely going to receive life changing damage regardless i'd perhaps think differently.
Also he's not beloved, I've probably wanted him to lose as many times as win btw.
