Khamzat Chimaev the new jon Jones?..

he never really seemed like a drug cheat.

After USADA

C 22–1 (1) Daniel Cormier NC (overturned by CSAC) UFC 214 July 29, 2017 3 3:01 Anaheim, California, United States For the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship. Performance of the Night. Originally a KO (head kick and punches) win for Jones; overturned and Jones stripped of the title after testing positive for a turinabol metabolite.
Win 22–1 Ovince Saint Preux Decision (unanimous) UFC 197 April 23, 2016 5 5:00 Las Vegas, Nevada, United States Won the interim UFC Light Heavyweight Championship. Jones was stripped of the title after testing positive for clomiphene and letrozole prior to a title unification bout against Daniel Cormier.

UFC 200
On July 8, 2016, a urine sample from Jones tested positive for two banned substances, clomiphene, an anti-estrogen substance, and letrozole, an aromatase inhibitor, prior to his scheduled championship bout with Cormier at UFC 200. The violation was from an "A" sample collection on June 16, with subsequent testing of the B sample confirming the doping. Both drugs, which are on the World Anti-Doping Agency banned substances list, are described as "hormone and metabolic modulators", which are not allowed to be used in or out of competition.[234][235] As a result, Jones had to withdraw from the event, and was replaced by former middleweight champion Anderson Silva.[236] Throughout the ordeal, Jones maintained his innocence, claiming that he was the victim of a contaminated product that he believed to be Cialis, which was later independently obtained, tested and found to be contaminated by the United States Anti-Doping Agency.[237] On November 7, 2016, it was announced that Jones was issued a 1-year suspension by USADA following his arbitration hearing, though the panel concluded that Jones did not take the banned substances intentionally, and was not a drug cheat

So he waited until USADA and then started cheating??

Thats some 4d chess im not aware of i guess.

This isn't news to me. I and everyone are aware Jon likes drugs. I think it may have started at the Rua fight when he won the belt. It neither shocks nor dismays me. That's Jon, and he's always been a good fighter regardless. We see people popping all the time and losing. It's not some grand cheat code to conquering the universe and doesn't really take away from his accomplishments for me.

Oh? Its not? Someone better tell Jon that cos the risk seems stupid if it didnt work exceptionally well that he keeps getting caught taking it all the time. Hell he might be on suspension RIGHT NOW.

one time I shot a basketball. So I guess you could say I’m basically the same thing as Michael Jordan
Well you’re a sherdogger so you’re right around the same height as him. I definitely believe you. He was scrawny compared to us tho.

look, I think Jon is an idiot, and a shitbird, and whatever other derogatory thing you can think to say or put into written word. Pills or whatever that gif is supposed to be is so incidental to the rest of his disaster of a life that I don’t even care. None of that makes a comparison between Jon and Khamzat a realistic idea until one half of that comparison achieves something. And Khamzat can take all the pills and injections that are available in the civilized world and he wouldn’t be within shouting distance of Jon Jones at that age

I think the whole thread premise is one big LOL

but they should probably compare him to someone else anyway.

It's how easily he is beating his opponents he has had. Li Jingliang is a ranked fighter and he beat him no different then any other one of his opponents. You watch his first fights and they all lool like his 4 UFC fights.
People don’t realize this. They said the same about Khabib, “he beat a bunch of cans outside ufc!” but he also beats UFC fighters like they’re cans as well.

Sometimes the eyes don’t lie.

I think so too. Was similar when Jones beat Bonnar. Not that Bonnar was a great fighter, but still respectable, the way he dominated him, even with gassing in the 3rd, the lateral drops, tossing a big LHW around like that. Jingliang isn't a great fighter either, but how he ragdolled him.

There is the cardio and reacting to pressure part though still, when Khamzat's early force doesn't get the job done, when there's resistance.

Yeah too bad that's not Jones' first four wins huh?

He's making great fighters look like they don't belong in there.

List a single great fighter Chimaev has fought, let alone beaten, let alone made look like they don't belong in there.

I'm as hyped on Khamzat as the next guy, but let's be reasonable here, man. It's far, far too early to say he's the best/has made great fighters look poor, etc.

All you can say, which is still saying something, is that he's had one of the best entrances to the UFC we've ever seen and that it appears likely he will do very well against elite fighters, but we can't say so until it actually happens.

Khamzat is that level of fighter in the making. The Helen Kellers of Sherdog think he isn't good because he hasn't beat the best WWs.

It's such a silly mindset to have... You aren't good until you've beat everyone and heaven forbid someone say said fighter is clearly going to beat someone ranked way higher than the person you're picking to win.

My favourite part of Sherdog will always be the pretenders that will be here a year from now, singing the praises of Khamzat because he "proved it". Doubters til there is no more doubt. Fakest fans and encompasses a good portion of posters here.
