In order to reach the pinnacle of sporting competition, you need an almost unhealthy level of belief in yourself.

So I try not to judge these guys when they sound overconfident.

Considering how UFC has been acting lately with fighters wanting to be double champ that aint happening and thank fuck for that because im beyond tired of hearing about it.
What happened to fighters just defending their goddamn belts... <codychoke>

With his schedule I would have thought it was gonna be 20.

He said he can "easily" make FLW and would be the face of a new mens atom weight division if asked

I mean someone should have probably told him that if your goal is to be a 3 division champ, probably don't start with the middle one.

Actually wouldn't have been impossible if he had started with winning the WW title then moved up, then moved up again. A little silly to win the MW title first, then move down 15 lbs, then move up 35 lbs from there in any reasonable amount of time.

After seeing mythical sherdog wrestler Ankalaev go 0/13 on pereira, I'm pretty confident that khamzat would get a quick trip to the shadow realm in that fight.

I did always want to see Khamzat vs Islam. But it took him what feels like 800 years to earn one title fight, how many times would he pull out trying to make ww again.

Some casuals didn't listen to the people who said Ankalaev is primarily a striker.

Khamzat's grappling is a different level to Ankalaevs.

That being said, every second standing would have him in great danger vs Pereira.

Lol the guy who fights once a year is going to do all that?

When he starts actually making it to the cage on a regular basis, then I might possibly humor him.

For now, hopefully he just makes it to the cage with Dricus, and winning that one is no guarantee. Du Plessis is one tough hombre.

Idk what Chimaev is on. He isn't focusing on DDP. DDP will be the toughest match he will have. I don't think he's winning vs DDP. I think Dricus beats him and it may not even go the distance... Dricus' won't be imo smothered in the first round, he's well prepared for that. He's totally prepared for the first round smothering and he's a tough mf... Whittaker said that when he took Dricus down, Dricus held his body in a body lock in such a strong way that he couldn't keep him down. And DDP isn't the kind of one that's going to tap, he's a tough son of a b***. He said he is ready to kill someone in front of their family as well as ready to die to take a win. That's one nasty competitor. So is Chimaev ofc. But Dricus has a weight advantage, has more proven stamina, knows the predictable pattern of the takedown and is preparing for that...

Anyways, I think DDP wins. Vs Ankalaev or Pereira, Chimaev would be destroyed at LHW. Pereira had called his bluff already to fight on LHW once and Chimaev turned down. I think DDP is already too much for him, so elite LHWs like Ankalaev and Pereira would be definitely too much for him. Firstly, Ankalaev couldn't take Pereira down even once, and Ankalaev is naturally a ~230 lbs fighter who trains sambo in Dagestan. He's a very good wrestler. Not as the avalanche that Chimaev is, but Ankalaev is also trying to take down way bigger fighters, which is tougher. Plus, Ankalaev has one of the best striking in MMA... So he's not so reliant on putting out 60% of his energy in a takedown initially like Chimaev. Whoever says Chimaev would beat Alex Pereira at LHW is kinda crazy honestly... DDP, I see as more likely but still... I don't think anyone is beating Alex and Ankaalev as of now... Anyone in the roster, I mean.

Btw why'd Chimaev talk about that when the champion is Ankalaev, mentioning Ank?

Chimaev literally said "Belal call me brother but he's Muslim and he said he'd move up in weight class to try to beat me up... How can he call me a brother when we are both Muslims and he was saying he would fight me in middleweight? Muslims don't fight each other"...

... Isn't Ankalaev a Muslim? So why'd he want to fight Ankalaev?
